As you may well know, most NS General addicts wear tinfoil hats in order to prevent being co-opted by government or opposition party brainwashing beams. There are even some who wear them to prevent from becoming religious, from becoming atheists, or even becoming $cientologists.
Many here assume that they are safe arguing here, freely exchanging thoughts and flames, knowing that their tinfoil hats are firmly in place.
Recent research fro MIT, however, shows this to be a bad assumption:

I don't need one. In case you haven't noticed, there's a lot of space in between me and the next NSer on General on that map that got started. Brainwashing machines wouldn't be worth the effort where I live.
