I believe that it is a sign of underlying social problems that the French government has neglected to address, and I also believe that the French people have a tendency towards racism on a small scale.

Overall, I feel bad for the people, and I think that the military is the only entity that can quell it. And then it is up to the people of France to figure out how to better treat the less fortunate among them.

Private property is our most important right, and it is in danger around the world by greedy governments who seem to think that they know better than us.

Nobody should assume they have the right to regulate another's personal property in any way as long as it isn't hurting others.

I'm not quite sure what a "North American Aboriginal" is.
~EDIT~ I looked it up! :D If you mean Native Americans, then all I can say is that it is absolutely horrible what has been done to them. But I think it's important to make the distinction between the men who did it, and Americans today. Same as with slavery. Americans owned slaves, but I don't know any who are alive who ever have or who would even if it were still legal.
I think Americans have changed for the better, to an extent.

I'm not up on NAFTA too much. I do believe that free trade is vital to good economies though. I'm just not up on all the intricacies of it.

Reverses? I'm now for gay marriage. I'm also alot less opposed to universal healthcare, if someone would come up with a plan that makes sense. Thats about all I can think of at the moment. Sorry I wasn't more informative.

"Assault" rifles? Define what you think an assault rifle is, and I'll answer it. A 30.06 used to be the weapon of choice for snipers, making it a military weapon, but it's also a deer rifle.

Fully automatic machine guns? You should be able to own them ONLY with a special federal permit.

ALL guns? You shouldn't be able to even get a bb gun until you take and PASS a safety training course. Same as with hunting, including hands on training. And the training should be federally funded, so poor people have the same right to protection as rich people.

I think that abortion is a horrible practice. I wish that women (and men) would take more responsibility for unborn children, and I think abortion is selfish.

That being said, it isn't my right to tell people what they can or can't do.
Bottom line, if Roe v Wade was overturned, I'd applaud it. It it stays, lets just say I won't be blowing up any abortion clinics.

Kinda vague, but I'll give it a shot.
I wish the world didn't need wars, and therefore militaries.But since thats a pipe dream, I am a big fan of the military. I sleep much better at night knowing that there are trained soldiers willing to protect me and my family. They are brave men and women, and I love them all.

After reading your response here, there couldn't be more than a dozen possible people you could be.. that's about the number of posters here who are at least semi-sympathetic to our nation's leadership.. :p I know of maybe 4 people besides myself who've been here for over a year who would answer similar to this.

As far as holding them goes, well I guess they have to hold them somewhere.
As for the treatment in general, I hear it is actually pretty damn good.

There have, however ,been incidents that I find extremely disturbing. I do not condone torturein 99% of all cases. Not because I don't think that some of them deserve it. It's just that we as civilized people cannot stoop to their level. It will make it that much harder to defeat them.

But if they catch someone, and they know BEYOND A DOUBT that they know about an imminent attack, get the pliers and the blow torches.The lives and safety of my family and friends, and all of our militaries are more important. Hands down.

Anit-war protesters in general have just as many rights as I do, and they are actually a type of checks and balances. Soemtimes I don't agree with them, and sometimes I find their methods horrid, but it's their right.

The Second Amendment is an argument that can't be debated, because it is up to the interpretation of the reader. Basically, it all depends on what you believe the founding fathers meant, something that, sadly, can't be unequivocally proven.

My opinion is that the founder fathers never imagined the extent to which technology could change the world. I believe that the constitution is a living document, and from time to time it is necessary to update it to keep up with us.

That being said, I believe that we do have a constitutional right to bear arms, not necessarily because of the second amendment, but because of my belief of what the founding fathers meant when they wrote it, based upon various writings that I have read.
