CommonCensus: VERY Interesting idea
If you're a player of the civilization games, you're familiar with the concept of cultural influence. This has been taken to a whole new level by this (http://commoncensus.org/index.php) website, which seeks to determine the extent of the influence of US cities, regions, communities of varying magnitude, etc. and then map them. This is a good solution to the superfluous state and district boundaries politicians try to gerrymander. The maps can only get more accurate with contributions, so give your voice to this fascinating mapping project.

Wow, very cool... My friend and I just filled it out. I'm definitely going to tell everyone I can about it.

hey, somebody else that finds our old political divisions artificial and not reflective of the actual social facts that matter to the people who live there. nice.
i utterly fail to see what is important about lines largely drawn up by the king of england or to appease slave owners.
