I would *so* pay to see that film. Screw it, thats going to be the next Star Trek film. Screw this 'Beginnings' rubbish. Thats going to be the next film in the series.

Just that flash animation.

Repeated.

For three hours.

It'll make millions.

Don't they bob around like that in every episode anyway?

"Cap'n! The warp core's gone a wee bit wonky! I gotta throw meself over these railings in an overly-dramatic fashion to make sure everybody knows!"

No. that is entirely wrong.

"Now I am going to fall through this railing/floor comprised of a glass looking substance designed to handle a weight of several hundreds or more of pounds that will shatter immediately upon my uncontrolled collapse."

That happened in one episode. Data and some one are struggling on the glass structure around the warp core. The other guy falls - not jumps up and down, not gets body slammed by Data, but falls straight forward, hits the floor and it shatters only where he hits.

Captain Picard: "This damn ship is falling apart like a stunt set."

I wish he had said that.

Well that told me! I prefer the old series, where they literally leaped across the set for whatever reason. My grandad used to call the show 'Star Jump', which seems appropriate.

And why do they have a glass floor by the warp core anyway?!

Because it's pretty.

Oh. Fair enough. I suppose that's why it glows too?

Because that's what keeps Star Trek alive.

Random stuff blowing up that looks cool, Saving Trek since 1994!
