God told me this: He's responsible for evolution, but... -drumroll- it's for animals, not humans.

Great, huh?

No. It ignores the vast ammounts of evidence that humans evolved from more primitive hominids and share a common ancestor with the great apes. Humans did evolve, and will continue to evolve in the future provided they don't wipe themselves out first.

What exactly do you mean by 'primitive'?

Only that they came before us. Although most of them did have smaller brains and all of them used more primitive technology than we do today.

You do have a point, except this really wouldn't make peace, so much as getting both sides angry. You have an idea though, as there is less evidence to show that humans evolved than other animals.

Existance is inconsequential. A pantheon's true power is measured in what kind of followers they attract, how well they motivate them to be truly bad-ass, and how effectively their followers can silence all dissenting opinions.

I will. God is wrong. I really think that much more could be accomplished if people did not have to hate each other over a religion.

-EDIT-

After reading more than the first 7 or so posts, I agree that something can't be wrong if it does not exist. ;)

Plenty of people think that god talks to them. Think about that when you're in a crowded place. A significant percentage of the people around you think that they're able to communicate with a supernatural being who tells them what they should do.

less fossil evidence, but just as much genetic evidence. I think the genetic evidence is much better anyway.

Actually, Neandrathals had brains that were another 13% larger than humans. I know, I measured some skulls. Well, I can't do very good math, but it certainly looked 13% larger. But then, humans do not seem to have evolved from Neandrathals and Neandrathals are extict, so I guess this is all a mute point anyway.
