that I often find myself humming national anthems, past and present? Lately I've been humming the Horst Wessel Lied. I'm not a Nazi, but I absolutely love the tune.

I wouldn't know because to distinguish odd you would need to know what normal is and I have no clue as to what normal is anymore. Just make sure you don't hum it around a Jewish settlement. Write a song using the tune and change the words around.

I do the same thing with church hymns and chants, etc. sometimes, as well as with other odd tunes.. sometimes Sousa marches I memorized for marching band several years ago, although they're unrecognizable as Sousa marches, since I was usually second saxophone.. but anyhow.. it's normal, I'd say. :p

Ah, that happened to me after playing Return to castle Wolfenstein in this level where in the beginning there's the Nazi Anthem on the background, and then I couldn't stop humming it for weeks...and THEN the same happened to me with the Israeli Anthem. How insane is that? o_o'

You're not the only one. The Nazi Anthem was made catchy for a reason. As DEAE pointed out, don't hum it around Jews. Or do hum it if you enjoy tormenting them.
