By roleplayer, I mean like, online roleplaying. I'd example, but I'm too friggin' lazy. ;)
If so, what genre?

EverQuest for a while, World of Warcraft. The majority of my time is spent in real life RPG. D&D 3rd E.

I play Traveller online.
I've played a few online RPGs, but there isn't actually a lot of roleplaying in it unfortunately.

This is 99 percent roleplaying.

Oooh... Now t3h me must get descriptive.
I don't mean EverQuest or WoW. I mean something like this:
((Hasty, hasty example.))
As Waverly Thomson trekked through downtown Rochester, New York, she watched the people walking past her. She was on her way to her first day as a schoolchild at the Rochester School of the arts. It was an exhilarating feeling, knowing that she was going to (hopefully) make new friends in this new school. One of her mother's cousins' ex's lived here, and was a teacher, though she wasn't sure what school he worked at. After school, she would call his phone and see how he was. In the meantime, the girl would go to her classes.
Her hair, a reddish gold, was hanging in two braids down her back, holding it out of her grey green eyes. There was nothing now! Nothing! Her boyfriend had dumped her when she had moved from Utah... Anyways, she was planning on starting new, getting a better boyfriend, and most of all, rubbing it in her ex's face that she had a new man.
Her blue jeans were tight, unlike her purple The Kinks shirt. Her entire shirt wardrobe was made of older band tees. The Kinks, The Beatles, The Zombies, Horslips. Those people.
From a training program I did with these n00bs... What I do for them!

I play Guild Wars off an on when free time is aplenty. I used to play a lot of forum-RP (i.e. writing out posts in character), but that got boring, especially since I'm a slow writer--at least slower than the other players and I couldn't stay caught up. :(

Oh, that's too bad... I'm a one-on-oner. And a LiveAction... Yay! Fancy dress-up!

I also dabble - quite a bit I might add - in the GW world. That and I have a nice fling or two with NWN depending on my mood.

Been playing MMORPGs since the days of EQ. THAT was an MMORPG! That's when death really held some kind of meaning (*sigh, good ol' times*).
I play DAoC when time permits. I took a look at WoW and dumped it after 2 months. Way too easy, way too braindead. AO was interesting, but Funcom killed it with the expansions (the original was soooooo awesome, they should've left it at that!).
Currently I play EVE. One of the few games where death is still something that hurts when it happens. 'sides, nothing beats blazing enemies from the sky with 8 heavy rail guns (*ratatatatatatatata*) :)

Thump. The man's fingers flew across the keyboard as he prepared to make his response. He gnashed his teeth for a moment, attempting to figure out how to properly phrase his repsonse.
"Yes, I do," he finally managed to write. He looked at the post, and decided that it really wasn't enough. After all, everyone else had written a lot more. "At #BlkDragon*Inn on irc.sorcery.net," he finally decided to add.
Looking over the post, he decided that it was good enough, and his hand slid over the mouse, scrolling the screen down to the "Submit Reply" button. There.
It was done.

Huh. Who are you, and why do I make you happy?
Ummmmmm, Nation States is a role-playing game. In fact, I'm one of the few here who don't participate in that aspect of the "NS Experience".

RP is why I'm on Nationstates.
Sound and Fury in the International Incidents has all sorts of RP threads.
also for RP Lite, there is the Paradise Beach Club.
I do a fair bit of RPing. That is to say, I'm currently at war with Imperial Galactica, Scellia, The Warmaster, Doomingsland, Psov, Shenyang, The Parthians, Freudotopia, Borman Warrior, and that one whose name I keep forgetting but I know it was important...he's the one who launched an SLBM attack on Port Khûfi...which of course was defeated because the Republican and Imperial forces managed to... what? Oh yeah. Well anyway, yes, I do RP some. To answer your question...
