Gee, I dunno Eut, would it be okay then for us to make fun of 9/11 or the LA riots? Seems a little distasteful to me. Say what you want about me disliking Bush, but I have never made fun of natural or unnatural disasters that have taken place in America. Food for thought dude.

For fuck's sake. You don't like France: WE GET THE FUCKING PICTURE. There's no need to gloat over what's happening now in this way. (The 'way', as ever, being repost-meaningless acronym-submit.) Maybe it's being overhyped; maybe French politicians have made mistakes; maybe all French people are anti-American heathens who deserve to burn. Turning it into a rofl waffle moment is still unnecessary, regardless. It is an insult to those who, presumably, are pretty scared of what's going on right now, no matter how justified that belief, to once again regurgitate this sort of crap in the vague and completely mistaken belief that blanket racial generalisations constitute astute political commentary. Unless this comprises some subtle observation on the context of the riots that I've missed, I fail to see how it is anything other than ghoulish rubbernecking.

Jokes are generally funny. And I haven't heard the one about NO. Mind you, at the time, I was too busy, y'know, not rejoicing in human suffering, so I can see how I might have missed it.

Telling someone to shut up is not an oppression of their freedom of speech. Making them do so, ah, fine. I completely agree, he has the right to say what he wants. That doesn't mean he should and, of course, it also grants me the right to express my displeasure at it. Which, I believe, I just did.

It isn't even a possible discussion. If you're going to start one, put a little more effort into it, rather than one sentence, and watch what you say. Personally, I don't think any 'joke' can be made out of it in the first place.
