That's an old one and it's because someone walked intot he studio with a gun -or soemthing- and for some kind of cross between humour and laziness, they left the scream on the track. No one was harmed.

These people Snopes (http://snopes.com/), are rather touched and so have catalogued enough Urban Legends (even disproved/proved a handful of them) to keep you busy for some time.
