STEELERS!

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the steelers have the best chance this year. I mean after big ben gets back from the minor knee surgery, things will begin to pick up. you can't forget that they have one of the best, if not the best, defenses in the league, including Joey Porter, Tory polamalu(sp), and some other great warriors. Back to their offense they have hines ward, the greatest wide reciever ever, heath miller, an up and comming TE, and then don't forget about their 3 rusher, willie parker, duce staley, and the Bus, Jerome Bettis. Hell, even their punter, chris gardocki is the best in the league, never once has he been blocked. Besides, they have Bill Cowher as coach. on of the better ones in Nfl history. He has time and time again driven the team to the playoffs..sdaly only to lose to teams like the patriots,(which i am sure are picked to win everytime, for propagandic reasons, look at the superbowl after 9-11) So yeah Go Steelers Lets bring that trophy back to Hines Field this year:D

The Indianapolis COLTS

will defeat my beloved Seattle SEAHAWKS

34 to 21

..but it will have been a glorious trip for a long-suffering franchise and their long-suffering fans.

Like me. GO SEAHAWKS!

I like the Colts this year. They're due for some playoff success. I predict notable late and postseason acheivement for the Chargers and the Bengals as well. If the Bengals pick up some run defense in the draft next year, I might have to go with them later on.

okay seriously I don't care as long as the Steelers don't make it ( I know a rabid Steelers fan that I would love to be devastated.) although if they did make it and lost that would be cool too. :D

sorry Sick Nightmares and Zilam, this person is someone I know IRL and if you knew her you would be this way too, (maybe)

The Chiefs? Denver made their defense look like high schoolers. Not to mention the fact that they barely defeated the Oakland Raiders.

My pick would be the Broncos though I am not holding my breath.

Colts by far because of how the first half of the season has gone. By the way, how are the Skins and Giants up there? The entire NFC East right now is both solid and equal. The Eagles suck this year because of injuries and TO being the ass he is. The Boys, if not for having a total meltdown in two of their losses, could easily be 7-1 at this point.

Anyway I'd say the teams that are the current favorites so far are the Colts, Steelers, Panthers, Seahawks, Bengals, and probably one team from the AFC West (probably Denver or San Diego, but Kansas City has an outside shot).

Out of thsoe teams I'll pick that the Super Bowl will be between the Panthers and Colts. It was a tough choice going with the Colts over the Steelers though.

Why? Simple. I'm a New Englander, and it's chisled into our minds that "This year we're gonna win! I can feel it!" Occasionally, we do. Majority of the time, we don't.

Homer: Awww, the Denver Broncos.
Marge: I think it's an honor to own the Broncos.
Homer: You just don't understand football, Marge.

I think we'll end up going to the playoffs and (gasp!) winning a game. We'll probably then lose to the Colts in Indy. But one can dream, no?

You can dream yes but you are 2 games behind them and, so far, Denver has the tie breaker.

LETS GO BRONCOS!

Broncos all the way! :)

HA! I don't like the Colts (Big AFC team if you wonder why), but I hate the Patriots. I believe that it was their kicker (can't spell his name right now) that won them the Superbowls. Where's his credit. Yeah, but I'm glad that the New England Tom Bradies have lost again.

But so far, Denver owns the tie breaker so if you want to get technical, 2 games back. Of Course, if you win, you'll have to win by 20+ points to own the tiebreaker. :D

Seems easy enough to do...

And we won't even need a tiebreak when the Broncos go on their Shanahan-sans-Elway skid at the end of the season.

Unless other teams watch the film on how to expose the Chiefs defense. You got lucky last week and you know it.

If by "lucky" you mean "who knew that covering Larry Johnson out of the backfield late in the game was a good idea," then you're absolutely right. But several teams get lucky, it means nothing.

Basically, I hope we decide to show up when the Broncos come to KC. And every other game, for that matter. If we decide to show up and get our heads out of our posteriors, we can win any given game. If we don't, well, you saw that game in Denver.

Actually, I didn't. I saw the score though and was overjoyed. I was working when they were playing :(

Hopefully, they'll be on TV again and I'll be able to watch them beat up on the Chefs some more. (misspelled intentionally :D)

HAHA! We all know this is friendly jousting between rivals :D

Bring! It! On! :D

anyway, I'm hoping 2 teams from the AFC West make the playoffs. It'll be even cooler if they met in the AFC title game but that won't happen unless they are a high ranking team :(

I think it would be great if the Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos all made the playoffs. Tell me I have a victim complex, but I don't think the AFC West gets enough respect. I agree with you about the chances of an all-West title game, especially since I think the *groan* Colts will be one of the teams in it.

Now that would be cool and your right in regards to the AFC West not getting enough respect. One day, the people will learn that you just can't count us out.
