I finally did it, for anyone who's been paying attention. I finally went ahead and bit the bullet and got the tattoo done. It's on my right bicep, and pretty much takes up the entire thing. I'm loving it. I'm assured that all that black shading around the edges will fade considerably when the tattoo heals.

It was originally a $300 tattoo, but I went to the tattoo parlor of the father of a girl I work with, so I got a wicked deal on it. $159.

It's freaking amazing. What do you all think?

The picture aint really worth of tattooing, I think... But then again, that's just me.

It's pretty wicked awesome...it's not just a tattoo for a tattoo's sake...instead it means something to you...worth permanently putting on your body...manifique:D

I certainly hope you are of Italian descent, otherwise that would just be weird. ;)

Nicely done.

I like it! Is that bruising around the edges of it? Or is that part of the tattoo?

Italia! É molto bene! Yes, that reminds me, I should go do my Italian homework. Anybody want to help me prepare for a 12 minute oral on Carlo Collodi?

That's part of the tattoo. It's shading around the edges so it doesn't just look like a stamp on my arm. Once the tattoo heals it will fade considerably, the artist assured me.

Italy written in Irish uncail script? Interesting.

It's good that you got a tattoo that will always mean something to you. Good choice.

It's Roman Half Uncial, actually. :D

Irish Half Uncial is slightly different.

I've wanted basically this same exact tattoo for five or six years now. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to change my mind.

Long life to the Master Sdaeriji!!!!
And his tattoo too!!

A french is visiting London. He goes to a theatre, and asks the guy at his right the time.
"It's two to two", he says.
The frog didn't understand, of course, so he asks to the guy at his left.
"It's two to two too."

Ha ha ha

I was thinking of either getting scorpius tattoed on my back or getting ursa minor.

Ursa minor for sure if I go to another country after graduation, as Canada's north of most everything and it will be a reminder of home. (and slightly more original than getting a maple leaf tattooed on myself)

But then I could get both if I plan it out well enough, as I would like them to be in their proper places relative to each other... and then if I discover tattoos are as addictive as they say then I could map the whole sky back there.

Tattoos are quite addictive. I got one on the top of my foot (had to place it somewhere it could be hidden during ballet), another on the same foot (both small) and a third on my lower abdomen.

nice. The red will dull down a bit, and the black will fade once its healed and all the blood is out of it.

what studio did you get it done at? I really want another one, but the studio I got mine done at moved to Providence.

I've heard great things about them. Maybe I'll stop by this week for a piercing or two.

think you could get me that kinda discount? *sad puppy face* lol

by the way, the healing process is kinda fun. When it itches, you get to look like a masochist by slapping yourself, and the dead skin peels off so you have a handful of multicolored dead skin when you shower

Go for it. They were amazing, in my admittedly narrow view.

Not sure I could get that discount for you. I kind of had an in, being friends with the boss' daughter. :D
