What does where you live look like?

Hey!

I thought it might be fun to know where all you guys live. I don't mean what town or place; often it doesn't tell you anything about your living situation anyway, and there is the map thread for that.

I thought it might be fun to take a picture of your "window view", so we can get an idea of what sort of place you're coming from. Its autumn over here in the Netherlands and I took this (pretty, I think) picture of where I live. Yay flat and water-filled Dutchy suburbia I suppose.

Looking forward to your submissions! If it becomes a succes I'll keep a list here in this first post. :D

Please do not use image tags on really big pictures!

Don't have a window view picture, (and it's blocked partly by a fence anyway) but this is an opportune moment to gravedig a picture I posted on here a while ago...

Don't have a picture of the view out my window and can't take one just now, but it's mostly just a solid wall of trees. :D

It's night time and I don't have a decent way of getting pics onto the comp anyway (save for my cameraphone) so I'll post this:

http://www.harveys.co.nz/branch/khandallah/images/home/big_pic.jpg

That's similar to the view I have, but I'm a fair bit closer, and as far as I can tell I'm a fair walk away from where that pic was taken.

i love the view from my window. unfortunatley i only have sunset pics in which its too dark to actually make out where i live... but the silhouettes should give you a clue at least :P

pic 1 (http://www.hlj.me.uk/pics/sunsets/puremetal1.jpg)
pic 2 (http://www.hlj.me.uk/pics/sunsets/puremetal2.jpg)
pic 3 (http://www.hlj.me.uk/pics/sunsets/puremetal3.jpg)

ah yes, i love that view :)

i would take a pic or two in daylight but me camera is now broken :(
anyways, my house backs onto the lawn of a 6th form college on one side, and its tennis courts on the other. to the front is my school - a private 450 year old school and college - about 2 minutes down the road. to the other side, at the end of the road, is the Southampton Common - a massive park in the middle of the city. damn i love living here... i mean the houses round here are kinda crap, but the location is just :fluffle:

Sick Nightmares, please remove the image tags if you're going to post pictures that big, it is screwing up the screen. :(

Nice to see the response like that, bye the way. The New Zealand view is very pretty :)

Imagine rows of ugly red brick houses, crooked streets with chewing gum and litter, gloomy grey skies, and rain.

Of course, why not?! :p

And the cloth was for cleaning guitar strings, or underneath them, rather.

Well...I don't have a digital camera so here's a picture I found of the city I live in. Plus the view from my house is of other houses...and some plants. Not very exciting.

There you go. Technically I dont live in these places but I live very near them. This is the rain-soaked city of Manchester in Northern England, famous for its football and pubs. Enjoy... *sarcasm*

And my desk/office isnt very messy because I just cleaned it. Although behind my bookshelf is a pile of unwashed clothes.

Meh. It looks cool, anyway.

And why move them behind the bookshelf? They're more covenient on the floor for easy access when you need something to wear. :p

well, theres sort of a council estate to the left of my front window, and our private estate to the right, then at the back, theres a load of open fields and woods that lead across into the outer suburbs of stoke on trent... but it's too dark to take pictures right now, and i don't want to give too much away in case anyone feels the need to slaughter me.

LOL! We use to call them "leaf lookers." :D

I lived in New Hartford and Oriskany ( both near Utica ) for about two years. We took lots of great camping trips into the Adirondacks, including a whole 10 days at Cranberry Lake. I loved it there. :)

I have some great pictures of Philadelphia but can't find them. I'll post them if I do and if I'm not too busy. It's easy to find pictures using google, though few are as good as mine. I have some live 8 ones somewhere as well. Nice that I only needed to walk there.

Not quite the view from my house, as that simply looks at more houses. However it is the view from the end of my street.

I don't have any pictures od the view from my room; I'll try to describe....
the house is on the left of a very steep small valley, and its facing another house directly accross from it.My room is at the front of the house - mainly from my room you can see our front garden, my car! a teeny bit of the road, my neighbours house, some steep fields usually with cows in em!...and trees theres a wood to the right of the house and also across the road from us, so at the moment its all autumn leaves and pretty colour!! life is good!

(apart from the rain  )
