in my correspondance to members of the female pursuasion.... ah hell why can't i just type normally? when i get emails or texts from girls, i invariably get some combination of 'x's tacked on the end. now, i had it explained to be at some point quite a while ago that one 'x' means this, two 'x's' mean that, and three of them means the other. then sometimes i get a whole line of em ('xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx') and sometimes the enigmatic 'xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo' (http://www.fragileworks.com/reilly/archives/portfolio/OXO-Cube-thumb.jpg), which just serves to complicate things further!

whats going on here... what is the code? is there even a code or was the person who explained it to me just talking outta their ass?

Just as long as none of your correspondence from female friends ends with the word 'N.O.R.W.I.C.H.', your edge should go undulled.

yeah you see the code as this girl explained to me was something like
one x: like you
two x: like you lots
three x: loves ya

and she was very specific about it. maybe she was just insane.

anyways my ego's taken enough of a bruising tonight and i've given up caring - i'm off to bed. 'night all :)

Thus proving that all kisses and hugs are meaningless, and thus love does not exist.

Or, wait. I'm over-analyzing as usual. :(

Don't believe what people are telling you. Girls claim that it means kisses and hugs. But it is really code. Sort of like binary code. X=1, O=0. But it's not true binary code. It follows a different set of rules of which I am unfamilure.

If a girl gives you a letter that is confusing, what do a lot of guys do? They make the mistake of presenting it to a trusted female friend to interpret. How does your female friend know how to interpret it. By the secreat girl code that is. This ensures that you are properly manipulated.

Hey PM,

Im gonna havta go underground for releasing this information, considering its directly from the Women's Handbook, (yes, they are issued one at puberty).

In it, many of thier secrets are revealed.

The xoxoxox at the bottom of the letter, is indeed, code.

Its much like binary.
In binary, 1's indicate an closed circut, and 0's indicate a open circut.
However, number values can also be applied.

In the xoxoxox thing, its simply "in and out".
ergo, the more x's and o's at the end of the letter, indicates the senders willingness for wild monkey sex.
No x's, or o's.....your future is full of wankery.
Many...shaggery.

From my experience, the number of Xs can have a double meaning. If you get one or two, it normally signifies your a good friend, but more could mean they're interested. But equally, more can mean they are particularly happy with you, or are joking with you, and so forth....

bitter experience!

I have no code with my amount of "x"s. The amount I use is usually dependant on how many spaces I have left in the text. Or dependant on a need for speed. Or totally random. And I think most people are the same so I wouldn't hold anything to it.

xxx=I have an O.C.D. where i have to hit the x key three times, sorry! This is off topic, but does that sort of thing really mean you have OCD? 'Cos if that's true, then I'm only just beginning to get rid of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder!
Grainne Ni Malley
06-11-2005, 14:34
Actually, it is my understanding that O.C.D.s come in many forms, including the uncontrollable desire to repeat an action numerous times. If one is compelled to obsessively do something in an unusual manner, that generally indicates an O.C.D.
