This thread is about stuff you've noticed and comments you have about movies, books and videogames. Add your own, comment, etc.
DIDJA NOTICE?
Silent Hill 2
-Neat touch: the stuff you have to do in order to get a certain ending foreshadows what happens in the ending (be nice to Maria to get the Maria ending, etc.).
-Yeah, you just stick your hand in there, James. Gross.
-The final boss' intro is really well done, captures the moment perfectly.
-Jame's wife sure likes her metaphors.
You're Under Arrest: The Movie
-The animators really know how to capture a hangover.
-The english subtitles script is different (and better) than the english spoken script, especially in the scenes where the police chief in the cell is talking about pain and the girls are commenting on how the police officer turned up late and hungover ("after-after-party", hee-hee).
-How I can't remember any of the police officers' names, despite watching the movie two times?
-Fun things to try with your motorcycle and helicopter.
-Not much violence or profanity for an action movie (I counted about 3 dead and maybe 6 wounded, on camera and implied).
Metal Gear Solid 3
-The zen of the cardboard box.
-The orgins of Solid Snake's sneaking suit.
-The final boss battle location: pretty!

Some more:
Saw
-Oooooooo, "Jigsaw", that's a REAL scary name for a genius serial killer.
-That is one dirty bathroom. What is that powdery stuff that they’re standing/sitting in?
-Either they went method acting on this one, or the stuff they used to fake the contents of the toilet is really innovative!:p
Metal Gear Solid 3
-Finally, a logical explanation for videogame weapons with infinite ammo!
-Where's all the Rambo references?
-Mushrooms recharging your batteries? Ooooooooooooookay....
Haunting Ground
-Fiona's real snarky when she's not running for her life.
-How much this game rips off the Clock Tower series, especially CT3 (these games are both made by Capcom, though...)?
-All the alchemy references? They're there, if you just take notice.
-Daniella wins my vote for most screwed-up female game character ever.
Seven
- The number 7 shows up in many places throughout the film. Detective Somerset is invited for a late dinner... at 7pm. The climactic delivery was to be made at 7pm. All the building numbers in the opening scene start with 7.
-The opening credits uses a heavily remixed version of "Closer" by NIN
-The closing credits scroll up
-Easily the highlight of Se7en is that Gweneth Paltrow is decapitated. I've discovered that I hold particular hatred for a wide range of incapable actresses, and Miss-Thin-Beyond-Belief is one of them. Movies like Shakespeare In Love and Great Expectations are wonderful examples if that you have big eyes and can breathe longingly in each scene, you don't necessarily need to have acting skills. We never get to see Gweneth's head, but that isn't to suggest the props department didn't prepare a life-sized model of her bony cheeks to give Freeman and Pitt good inspiration. "Ack," they probably said between takes. "There goes my desire for some Chinese take-out later." My opinion holds that every film should end in Paltrow's decapitated head showing up in a box during a random scene. That could really spice up, say, Pokémon 2000 or The Perfect Storm.
[SCENE: The day after the Perfect Storm]
Official: Ma'am, there were no survivors of the wreck.
Woman: Waaaah! My, my sugar-plum! NOOOO!!!
Official: Oh, and here's Gweneth Paltrow's head in a box.
Woman: Eeew. Okay, life's worth living again.

Some more, yes, more!
Mulan
-Sing along with Donny Osmond!
-Another parent bites the dust. Thank you, Disney!
-Yes, the dress did make Yao look fat.
-Writing crib notes on arms: another ancient Chinese invention.:D
-Chinese horses looked like potatoes. Hun horses looked like concrete blocks. You do the math.
-Crickets make excellent, if not lucky, pets.
-Mulan’s timesaving chicken feeding method.
-Chinese Gothic!
Silent Hill
-The Silent Hill series has a LOT of literature references in the street names, as well as drawing inspiration from the movie Jacob's Ladder and a reference to the band Sonic Youth in the school, can you find them all?
-Magic has never been more fruitier-sounding. (zanyvgquotes.com/silenthill/shmagical.mp3)
-Harry has some strange logic behind estimating the value of the radio.
Deus Ex
-Futuristic pistols are less effective than our netheralic, PRESENT DAY creations?
-The Soylent Green reference on the candy bars?:D
-Drunkenness simulated! Yay!:p

1999 B.C., yes
it was called Proto-Pong, in anticipation of contemporary Pong

DIDJA NOTICE?
Clock Tower 3
-"Rooders", the lamest name ever for a secret bloodline of evil fighting warriors.:p
-How utterly daft that school uniform is?
-How the final boss battle is proof Satan is real and works at Capcom game design?:headbang:
Siren
-Oh, yeah, they're definitely not ripping off a zombie movie, definitely not ripping off a zombie movie that has the title 28 Days Later...
-Wet towels are useful!:D
-How bloody creepy those shitbo are?
Carrie
-PLOTHOLE: Why did the whole prom start laughing almost right away? Two students have had buckets of pig blood dropped on them and it's clear one of them has been knocked out, why start laughing at a time like this?
-Hurbert Kelly sounds a lot like my dad (you'd have to meet my dad to understand)...:p
-Anyone else disturbed at the thought that Chris finds the grease smeared all over her sexually arousing? I mean, that's kinda messed up, don't cha think?
In the (kids) animated movie 'Road to El Dorado', there is a scene that seems to include oral sex between one of the main protagonists and a native of 'El Dorado'.
I found this strange because...it's a kid's movie for goodness sake!
Didja notice...
...her new haircut?
I'll bet you didn't!

?
That means akin to that of Neanderthrals. You know, cave men?

I suspected that might be the intention, but a search turned it up nowhere else on either the web or usenet, and so I continue to doubt that it is actually a correctly spelled established word.

SOME MORE:
Batman & Robin
-Bat-nipples, -butts and -bulges. *shudder*
-How many cold-related puns will we get here?
-His whole outfit must be worth more than that diamond
-Eeeeevil hockey players
-The perfect bat-shaped hole in the wall (huh?)
-And a spaceship? To steal a diamond?
-When did Batman get phasers?
-The WAY TOO LOUD AND CONSTANTLY BOOMING soundtrack
-I think flora is doing okay in this world
-Lots of neon colors. Lots.
-Protect plants from extinction? She’s beyond batty
-Do diamonds burn out like power cells?
-Batman needs a credit card?
-Even street trash in Gotham is neon and black-lit
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
-I think this is more of an epic than a saga.
-What is up with Bowletta's stomach in the final boss fight? Walkways? Fire? Has she/he/it been taking too little vitamins or something?
-So rope jumping lets you bypass immigrantation laws? Some one call the FBI right f***ing now!
-So shops can still operate in town during a violent bombing? Some one call the Business Council right f***ing now!
-So guards take someone's jumping abilities as proof of identification? Some one call ASIO and Homeland Sercuity right f***ing now!
-Videogame doctors have a horrible sense of timing. They often wait to tell you info right after that info becomes useless/too late to use.
-Mario's level up stat gains favor his speed, power and stache stats. Luigi's level up stat gains favor his defense, HP and BP stats. Which is strange, because Mario is the fattest of the two, you'd expect him to favor defense over speed because of his extra body fat.
-How Mario starts the game with slightly higher stats overall?
-The Invisi'shroom thing just doesn't make sense when you think about it.
-Way to over-emote, Mario brothers.
-Popple? Cackletta? Fawful? Nintendo's villain names just keep getting more and more retarded.
Resident Evil 4
-The Red9 is a reference to Star Wars, it's based on Han Solo's blaster, which, in turn, is based on a German Mauser pistol.
-The Killer 7 references?
-The Haunting Ground reference?
-The reference to the movie The Professional?
-Hunningun's moronic sense of timing, "Hey, here's a file outlining combat controls and tips! I figured you would only want it after you started fighting those 30 plus mad villagers trying to kill you! Aren't you grateful?"
-Leon has NO luck with the women, check out the movie after the credits, "Story of my life..."

Resident Evil 4
-Chicken eggs are excellent weapons.
-After Ada throws you the Special Rocket launcher (an impossiblely long distance, I might add), it doesn't matter where you aim it, if you shoot while having this wepon aimed, even in the opposite direction, it will trigger the final boss' death cutscene.
-The merchant in the water cave (located in the lake), nicknamed "Fully Loaded", has several Chicago Typewriters displayed on his gunrack, located to the direct left after entering his little shack as well as the "Special" rocket launcher hidden in the back.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
-Warner Brothers went totally Disney and eliminated any mother characters from the movie? (Mrs. Weasley, Mrs. Malfoy, and Mrs. Diggory were all missing, as was the whole Barty Crouch, Jr./Mrs. Crouch switch.)
-That Ireland won the Cup, but Victor Krum got the Snitch? Yeah, I didn't either.
-The Death Eaters couldn't think of a uniform design, so they ripped one off the Ku Klux Klan? (I mean, come on guys. We get the parallel already. We really didn't need the pointed hoods. But I'll admit the masks were pretty creepy.)
-The Weasley twins so need to get together with Merry and Pippin. Then again, for all our sanity, maybe not.
-James and Lily's ghosts apparently aged? (James and Lily were only supposed to be in their early 20's when they died - like 21 or 22. They've always had people who are too old playing James and Lily.)
-I couldn't actually spot McGonagall, Snape and Dumbledore in the Foe Glass. Too bad, given that it was actually given attention earlier and that was a little detail I really liked.
-Barty Crouch and the tongue. I think he thinks he's part snake or something. (Apparently, however, someone noticed that the two actors didn't flick the tongue the same. Gleeson flicked left, Tennant flicked right. I didn't notice this myself though.)
-Despite Snape saying three drops of Veritaserum is all it takes, he pours half a bottle down Crouch's throat.
BTW, BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPP!
