This one was funny. I always used to believe that any highly educated Leftist had to be fabulously wealthy in the first place - it's a privilege of wealth to be able to spout like that.

Hard to see who's clutching at straws more desperately, here... the author who thinks racial fairness and positive discrimination are the same thing, or the poster who thinks that someone concocting an 'anti-liberal' gossip sheet is proof of something....

Well, you must admit that, even among the 'examples' quoted on the page you linked, MOST of the 'stories' failed to qualify as anything close to 'hypocrisy'.... unless it is hypocritical to have unshared income, or to need security, or to have a past that is in any way different from your current political agenda.

Further, I'd imagine that, if you are being honest, such propoganda is hardly of any serious worth. Gossip is rarely a reliable source of evidence.

To be honest... I'm a little surprised you even posted it... with all the current corruption at the highest levels of 'conservative' politics, it just looks like a desperate attmpt to yell "yeah... well, you can't fly, either"...

I'd rather compare starting with the Great Society. 1960s.

Yes, we've destroyed entire generations of black Americans.

Come to Washington, D.C., where one out of three black males have been incarcerated for a felony, or are currently incarcerated for a felony.

I don't call that improvement - and they've spent a lot of money and written a lot of laws.

Noam Chomsky...has made millions in contract work for the Pentagon

¡¿que?! doing what exactly? oh, it's probably about the funding of mit, which in turn pays chomsky.

set up an irrevocable trust to protect his assets from Uncle Sam

which actually makes perfect sense since chomsky wants uncle sam abolished and the state would only use that money to kill people with darker skin tones anyway.

the real problem with chomsky is that he's not plugged in enough with the anarchist movement and doesn't use the huge amount of wealth he's gotten a hold of to fund any major projects. of course, the anarchist movement in the u.s. is generally too disorganized and filled with scenesters to do much good with such funding anyway, so he can probably be forgiven for the moment. but once i've got my plan set into motion, i'm running to him for some startup capital. other than that he seemed like a perfectly nice guy when i met him at wazzu last semester.

And... I'm sorry, but which episode of Bizarro-Superman do you have to watch to find the Clintons on the 'ultra-left'?

Ahem... yea. That does piss me off a tad, but only because they attack Michael Moore and Ralph Nader, both of whom I have great respect for. Especially Ralph Nader. I'd so vote him if, as usual, both choices in '08 suck ass.

But other than attacking Michael Moore and Ralph Nader, it doesn't suprise me that someone could or did write a book about how - shock of the f-ing century right here - celebrities and politicians are often a bunch of hypocrities. The previous sentance is true regardless of the side someone is on, btw.
