I was going to post the images, but there are too many--it would kill anyone without a T-1 line, I think. So here are some links to photobucket, and some notes as to what's in them. I live in Fort Lauderdale, and we caught the southern edge of what was a 90-mile eye--we got about 20 minutes of respite in the eye, and the second wave was worse than the first. Most of these pics are of the aftermath. The first two are of the storm itself, when it calmed down just enough for me to stick my Nikon out the door and squeeze off a couple of shots.

The next pics are of right around my apartment. Parts of our privacy fence came down and there was debris everywhere.

We also lost our patio table, and it flew over the downed privacy fence. Fortunately, it got jammed between our two cars which meant that we got some scratches, but we didn't lose any windows.

There's an old fighter jet on a concrete pole in the park near our place. Rather, there was a fighter jet on a pole. It took its last flight as well.

These last pictures are just of downed trees and power poles.

yeah, my grandparents are in Delray, so the eye passed right over them. Still no power. My grandma can't take the stairs, and they live on the 4th floor.

We're trying to get them to go to a hotel or come up here. No luck so far. I get my stubborness from them, methinks
