This is a post I did a while ago. This one has several updates, such as the removal of Brad Pitt (hey, it was just a joke). My aim is to make sure you all have fun debating. ENJOY!:) Please do not let ignorance stop you from considering other choices. If you know nothing about a ruler, please ask about them.

You forgot to leave an "other" voting slot ...
But I would have voted for Cyrus the Great, the First Persian Emperor, and the first Emancipator of slaves. :D

Out of the choices, I'd have to go withFrederick (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_The_Great). I honestly don't know why everyone is choosing Caesar. Come to think of it, he and Bush share similar qualities. Caesar was a warmonger and conqueror, a dictator, a total liar, careless with money, and unpopular amongst his peers. The only difference being that Caesar was successful in his military campaigns and ended up being assassinated. However, there's still time left for Bush to fulfill his destiny. ;)

Why isn't Jesus an option:rolleyes:
:D
P.S. I voted for Julius Ceasar because he was the only person on the poll that has a Shakespearean play named after him

Because Jesus was not a real ruler, even though he'd make an excelent one. Plus everybody would choose him, he'd win hands down. What kind of a poll would that be?
And Frederic wasn't?
Not entirely, though he did share a few of the flaws I listed. He was the best option, in my opinion, out of the choices given.

But why IS Caeser SOOOOO popular anyways? I had to take out Bismarck, and King Aurther because they we're hogging the votes last time. And now I have another vote-hogger on my hands!

I wouldn't vote for Jesus, Nobunaga pwns all that dare stand before him, that's why Akechi Mitsuhide had to stab him in the back.

Ceasar w/ Machiavelli as PM or Chief of Staff.

This was actually a tough choice, as Machiavelli advocated the most liberal form of government of his time period- a republic, like Venice. 'The Prince' was his observation of how politics was run, not how it should be run.
However, I decided to vote for Napoleon Bonaparte. The guy was a skilled general, a persuasive ruler, and introduced a number of good reforms to the governments of the lands he brought under his control.
