well anyway. the democrats are wrong for wanting to cover this up from the public. these things ought to be open for people to see what is going on. and from what i see they did have an unofficial bi-partisan agreement that they wouldn't do this without consulting each other.

So the evidence was strong enough for the democrats to happily go along with when asked if they should go to war, but not now. I wonder if this has anything to do with popular opinion?

It's really only un-Democratic if some big important decision is made. And I'm afraid a bunch of Dems getting a into hissy-fit about the non-crime of the century doesn't qualify.

So the evidence was strong enough for the democrats to happily go along with when asked if they should go to war, but not now.

When were they asked that? I seem to recall Democrats voting to forfeit War Powers in November of 2002, before realizing that Bush should not be entrusted with that kind of power.

The problem right now is that the Republican-controlled Senate doesn't want to get to the bottom of what went wrong with the Iraq War. No investigations means nobody gets in trouble for whatever colossal screwups occured.

Just like how Bush appointed someone to the court so quickly after the Harriett Meyers debaucle to get the Plame case off the front page, the Dems made a move to get it back on. Whoopity doo.

Oh and Blu-Tac, besides the fact that the Dems are not left-wingers, are you seriously saying that Republicans/Conservatives don't do childish things? Bush hasn't fliped off the press? Cheney didn't tell someone to go fuck themselves when someone made a comment he didn't like? Or do you consider those things to be grown up acts, performed by only the most sophisticated of adults?

Get over yourself. I feel sorry for you if you think that any of the politicians in Washington have anything more then their self interests at heart. All we can hope for is to pressure those that pretend to be fighting for a side to actually follow thru on some of the promises they made.

Anyway, Reid needs to stop playing party politics and help fix the problems of America and to assist in defeating America's enemies.

Cover-up, huh? Considering that the reason Reid called this special session was to force the Republicans' hands in the investigation into how the administration fucked up the intelligence gathering in the run-up to the war, I'd say you're pretty pathetically hacktackular in your fellating of the Republican party. If you want to talk about cover-ups, I suggest you start with the party in power.

So to fix Americas problems, what do you suggest Corny? That the Dems all become republicans because they are the only ones with ideas worthy of Americas best interests? 23 times in the last two years, Senate Democrats have tried to get information on this, have tried to keep this investigation alive, only to be stonewalled by the Republican leadership and the Bush administration. Hence, we are a Republic. In which we elect people to represent us.

In any case, it seems like the only way things will progress anyway. I can't see the Republicans allowing for anything public to happen.
