I don't know about you, but when I'm online, I just kind of assume that every poster I meet is a Strait White Male from an English Speaking Country (hereafter refered to as an SWMESC) until I learn otherwise. I don't do it actively, but at the same time, it's difficult to avoid. I'd like make a list of nonSWMESCs, so we can all avoid offending people who are not part of that group (by refering to a female poster as "he," for example.) Hopefully, this will also help us all to get to know each other a little better. So tell me are you an SWMESC? If not, which one of the four attributes do you not possess? As for me, I am an SWMESC.

P.S. I know that this has been brought up before, but generally, numbers have been the focus (as in "What percentage of NSers are female?"), while I want to focus on learning more about individual posters. That is why I'm not including a poll. I want to know about individuals, not the NS community as a whole.

I listed the specific sexual orientation, the race, and/or the country of each individual if he/she provided that information.

I'm celibate by choice. I have, and desire, no sex drive whatsoever.

As for colour...actually, for the longest time I just assumed everyone was brownish...it took me a while to realise that it was overwhelmingly white here. I explained earlier that, although I recognize that Jewish people are technically racially European, they have a culture which is unique enough to warrant catagorizing them under a separate "race" for the purposes of this thread.

I should have known that including Jews among the nonSWMESCs would lead to some potentially gray areas like this. I've already recognized that Jews are, genomically speaking, part of the European race, but I've also decided to include them among the nonWhites because of their cultural uniqueness. So I guess the question is this: Do you still identify yourself culturally with other Jews?

Is theis the "Enemys of Amurikkka List" or maybe "Potential Terrorists List"?

I know the original poster's intent on this...but, in this day and age, in Amurikkka, one cannot help but feel that, if they are non-SWCESC's...that they are somehow looked upon as an enemy to be dealt with.

I feel as if I am under siege every day here in America. And it isn't a direct, in-your-face sort of siege...it's more subtle and insidious than that. Somehow, in the last five years, I have really felt a strong increase in the siege mentality in this country. Your impression is seriously mistaken. I suspect you're being more than a little paranoid and mistaking a highly vocal minority of assorted skinheads, neo-nazis and others of their ilk for the vast majority of Americans, most of whom understand the necessity for protecting minority rights.

I know the original poster's intent on this...but, in this day and age, in Amurikkka, one cannot help but feel that, if they are non-SWCESC's...that they are somehow looked upon as an enemy to be dealt with.
