we all need to be a bit more selective in our choices in friends and sweethearts. when we base our relationships on the superficial (hes captain of the football team, she is from a rich family, etc) we cant expect them to do any better.

we are all naive. thats the only way we ever give anyone a chance to get close to us.
sometimes we get caught up in what a person SHOULD be instead of what they are. if he only pretends to care but cuts out when you really need him, he is a selfish bastard. you WANT him to be someone else but he just isnt. instead of being upset that he doesnt act the way you want him to, you should just cut him out of your life.
keep looking until you find people who are already the type of people you want them to be.

i dont know what could be "wrong" with you that makes you so unworthy of friendship. be the best person you can be and youll find that people want to be friends (and more) with you.
not everyone and maybe not the ones who seem the most desirable but good friends nonetheless.
