Since we purchased our home & property, its value has increased dramatically. We are considering cashing in on the equity now and getting more house & property for less money and a lower lower cost of living, propert taxes etc.
We are looking around eastern Pa next weekend.
Any suggestions on good towns in that area? Postitives and negatives would be appreciated from any with life experience there.

Check out Solebury and Buckingham twp. Really anywhere around New Hope. You can find suburbs if that's what you're looking for, farms, or just secluded houses on wooded hills. It's convenient to major highways and there are good opportunities for day trips when the weather's nice.

I'll look those up. My wife has a realtor sending her listings in Bushkill and Poconos, which I know nothing about.
Its going to have to be really good for me to move. I need to clear a good amount of cash, while finding a place with good schools.
I live in Brick now. I like it here too much. I dont want to leave the ocean.

A couple of my uncles used to hunt in the Poconos. Last time I was up there, about four years ago, it seemed nice.

I have a little experience with Lycoming County, north-central PA. Largest city is Williamsport, on the Susquehannah. More rural than where you're looking and possibly cheaper.

If you're willing to stray that far west...

I luff my Schuylkill county, nice suburbs, good local food, cheap beer, and nice houses for a low price. Check http://coalregion.com/ out.

pros and cons of living here
pros: nice suburbs, cheap beer, historic-ish.., nice small schools (at least mine is), and MTV and other film production seem to like this area.

cons: it seems georgey bush loves this area.. dunno why.. but hes evil and always here, so he's a big con. since theres breakers everywhere its kinda noisy in the summer when people are on their quads, shitty football team, the highschools are nice but the cities some of them are in are ghettoish but thats changing in mahanoy city (where my school is), and a bit of a drug problem..

I have relatives in Tannersville (near Bushkills), very kew place, private as fuck. Good shopping too. I also have relatives in Willows Grove (i think thats NE PA.. might be wrong), thats a nice place.
