What Halloween? It involves candy, costumes, decorations- all of which aid the capitalist machine. You've betrayed your principles. :(

I'll probably be here, as always.

I plan to stay up late with some friends. I probably won't dress up as anything, unless I can get my hands on something appealing (I want a German WWII helmet).

It's not very special when you don't feel like going to booze and sex parties...and that's all there is at college.

Going to 2 parties tonight, and getting drunk. Going to another party on Sunday, and quite possibly getting drunk. And then getting drunk on Monday as well. I'll be dressing up as a hobbit tonight and Sunday.

Everything we own aids the capitalist corporations! Thats the problem of living in a capitalist society!

And in my mind it involves dressing up as alex from ACO and getting my smoke on. Im helping the lumpenproleteriat and charity shops!

No, it doesn't. That's the stolen, corrupted form of it.

Anyways, I'm being dragged out to some pumpkin carving party or something. I had no idea such existed.

I've no dressed up or willingly passed out candy for years. Damned kids.

My brother's throwing the usual drunken Halloween party tonight, but I just woke up at 6am with the flu today! Oh, the horror.
I hate missing out on free booze.

I was never allowed to celebrate Halloween as a child... my parents considered it to be "tacky American holiday." For this reason, I don't do anything for Halloween other than spray water at the Trick or Treaters, primarily because they annoy me and I do not share confectionary....

I work at an ESL school here, and Halloween is always a big event, as we of course teach culture as part of the package.

So for work:

Tuesday and today: Cowboy - wore my hat, boots, jeans, bolo tie, and a western shirt (aka standard get up for a Saturday night at the Armadillo Ballroom back home in SE Texas).

Thursday: zombie face make up - white face, black eyes, bloody wound on the head

Next Monday: either the cowboy, the zombie, or the classic zombie cowboy.
Also possible is the commando - cammo face paint, olive green tee, cargo pants, combat boots, and an MP-5 airsoft. (Almost the same outfit w/o the MP-5 works for Col. Kurtz, another old fave.)

And I've had a special gig as a costumed character for a local event production company for the last 8 years. It's always the same character in a Halloween parade at an event oriented shopping mall. This year, it was last weekend and this Saturday and Sunday. The costume is the Pumpkin King, and consists of an Arabian Nights style king outfit, with a pumpkin crown and big fuzzy orange pumpkin slippers. (And the gig pays for airfare home for Xmas. The Santa gig with the same company pays for gifts.)

Finally, for the parties: Tomorrow night is the infamous Osaka Loop Line Party - several; train carriages of carrnage, followed by a bar crawl. Sunday night is the party at my local bar. Both nights will be a full blown zombie - the train party will feature intestines made from white stockings and TP. I was planning to do the same for the bar party. However, I dropped by the supermarket tonight. Tripe was on sale....

I just spent 2 hours sewing about 3/4 lb of tripe and raw meat to a tee shirt.
