Since we can't discuss why Baseball sucks in a thread on the world series, I'm doing it here. Baseball, to all intents and purposes, is little more than a hybrid of rounders and cricket, played by ovepaid, undertalented incompetants. Give Freddie or KP a year to learn the game, and they would be world beaters.:)

I grew up in a family that worshipped baseball and went to many games (pro and family little league stuff) - therefore I think it follows that I hate that damn boring ass sport. If that doesn't automatically follow then I just dislike it because it's freaking BORING! Honestly though I don't like wathing any sport if someone isn't in danger of getting seriously injured. I do enjoy playing some sports but baseball is not one of them.

And while I have no doubt at at Cricketers capacity for "beating" (hurrhurr) I sincerely doubt that they could just suddenly appear and start cleaning out. Especially if they are so daft as to require a whole year to understand it, a four year old can get the basic concept in 12 minutes.

haha... good thread! Hmm... well i don't reeeeally mind baseball... saw a bit when i went to canada a couple of summers ago, but its not exactly a world class sport, and not anything to get majorly excited about.

I sort of treat it a bit like cricket... a game i never really got into, just drags on!

And while I have no doubt at at Cricketers capacity for "beating" (hurrhurr) I sincerely doubt that they could just suddenly appear and start cleaning out. Especially if they are so daft as to require a whole year to understand it, a four year old can get the basic concept in 12 minutes.

But not to play at a professional level. Watch "el classico" on sky, and observe sport as it should be.

While I think that you may be trolling, I have to agree on several points. I don't think baseball players are worth the money they get, but I would say the same about a lot of sports, including football of both kinds. But, the fanbase is there, and unless all the major teams in every country could be persuaded to agree to wage cuts, there's little that can be done.

Of course, by that logic, the baseball teams have it the easiest, because they're pretty much all in America. Therefore, baseball is teh sux0rZ

Amateur sports can be amusing provided that both sides are equally incompetent. Proffesional Sports are just lame, though, and the only thing that could lead to a great improvement would be the inclusion of automatic weapons.

All in America is true. North, South, and Central. Kinda the whole hemisphere. Then there's Japan, too. Even China seems to be able to muster up a team for the Olympics -- back before the poofs in England banned it from Olympicdom.

Money is irrelevant. Baseball is entertainment. When you realize that, you will be able to accept the salaries. At least as well as you can accept people like Sean Penn and Tom Cruise making any money at all as entertainers.

As far as the hemisphere goes, look up the definition. I think you can find a plane that does the job.

Sorry you don't like baseball, but at least it's not soccer.
