I know only some people have an interest in music here, but I wanted to know if anybody played any instrument, as opposed to just liking it. I personally play the guitar, piano, and violin. Any thoughts? Poll coming.

I'm learning guitar, and I used to play the piano a bit. I do want to learn the piano again, but it'll be a few years before I'm able to do some hardcore practice on one.

Aside from that, I can drum a nice, rhythmic, meaty beat, but I've never actually played the drums. I always do my drumming on hard surfaces. :p

I used to play the piano, but I doubt I could do it very well any more.

What I play at a professional level: Piano, Guitar, Bass*, Drums*, Trombone, Flute, Harmonica, and Banjo. I teach all of those instruments as well. I also compose music and teach music theory.

What I can play if prodded, but only at a passing/entertainment level: Clarinet, Trumpet, Tuba, Violin, and Cello.

* Indicates preferred/primary instruments.

Well I don't play each and every one every day. That, and I mostly post late at night. :) Today is a bit of a fluke ... I'm being lazy.
