Ritter has been exonerated times over.
He tried to speak out. Richard Butler, the other
weapons inspector, Ritter's boss, refused to debate him on tv before the war

Well, first of all, the reason that we're there. They think that this was an accident, that this was a noble cause, that people like the President, like Bill Clinton before him, like their respective administrations, journalists like Judith Miller just honestly got it wrong. And I don't think – you know, here we are today in Iraq, and it's a disaster. I don't think anybody's going to debate that statement. Some people say though, ‘We're working towards a continuation of this noble objective. We got rid of Saddam Hussein. That's a good thing. And now we're going to try to build on that good.’ And I'm not going to debate whether or not getting rid of Saddam Hussein is a good thing or not. But, you know, if you embrace the notion of the ends justify the means, that's about as un-American a notion as you can possibly get into.

Scott Ritter on the Untold Story of the Intelligence Conspiracy to Undermine the UN and Overthrow Saddam Hussein

I don't think a general would want to debate with a private on national TV either, if you catch my drift.

So...we knew they had WMDs, but they got rid of them, but we didn't know it, so it's OK to invade still because they lied, and even though the pretenses on which we went to war was a lie, it was a lie of not-knowing, so its still okay, and Saddam's gone, which is good, but terrorists are there, and there's chemical weapons buried under the desert sand, but it's still not right.

I found that rather confusing. America's in Iraq, let's finish up the job. Nothing we can do about the past now.

Richard Butler was an Australian diplomat.
Scott Ritter was an officer (rank?) former US Marine who worked
for Swartzkof in the 1st gulf war. (plus he's a card carrying republican who
voted for Bush in 2000)
Butler was Ritters boss when they were both weapons inspectors in Iraq.

Um, did you read the last sentance before the link?

There are thus war criminals that run our gov't.

Yesterday always matters.
People are not who they say they are in their last conversation.
They are who they have always been.
