I just thought I'd toss this info out there as I haven't seen much in the way of the Dover PA debate news lately...

Head of Cornell Renounces the Teaching of ID (http://www.sciencedaily.com/upi/index.php?feed=Science&article=UPI-1-20051025-11112300-bc-us-evolution.xml)

I also came across this article (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/10/25/brit_prof_argues_for_id) which supports the idea that even some British scientists are as dumb as American's Behe.

And apparently the people of Prague (http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20051025/3061253.asp) are going nuts over ID too!

Looking at the text of the second link, it seems that it got an extra http at the front.

Try: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/10/25/brit_prof_argues_for_id/

"Fuller, author of An Intelligent Person's Guide to Intelligent Design Theory went on to suggest that if the principles of ID were to be taught in schools, students might be inspired to develop the theory further."

And act as a state-sponsored recruitment drive for anti-scientific cult groups.

Nice.

This is like a snowball that is going worldwide now. Originally I had only lost faith in the intelligence of Americans. Then Canadians...now my bitterness is going across the pond.

I cannot escape from idiocy...this is ridiculous...

Unfortunately, we also have an anti rationalist high church tonk running our country.

That would explain a lot of things.

Except we could end the trouble with a protracted zombie-shoot party.

Which would probably be a bit of fun.

If this wins, I'm going to sue to have Phrenology and Astrology taught as well.

You must be attending the Zombie Protest March in Buffalo this weekend.

But seriously...why should we even bother thinking about these cosmological, biological, metaphysical things?

Let's all just go to the mall, eat feedburger, buy some fashion, and be just like everyone else....everyone else...everyone else..

Wait a minute...is it possible that the Intelligent Design squad is in line with "Be Like Us" crowd? Is intelligent design just a tool of "the man" to make the kids so dumb that when the time comes to fight the power, they won't know how?

I'm tired today...

For each you mow down two more shall take their place. Books can not stop us, well reasoned arguments fall down before our numerous cries of LA LA LA LA, experts in the field of science are no match for the pope, you shall fall and you shall join the fold of idiocy.

I'm sure that can be arranged, right along with Flat Earth Theory, and alternative medicines involving the appeasement of sinus Gremlins.

Okay, for the british guy. Let's be clear here, it's a sociologist (unmitigated crap at the best of times) and from Warwick "University". Hardly britians best and brightest there.

And I am not surprised that a sociologist feels this way. I bet he thinks he's being clever.

Actually, that is still quite popular in the UK.

In defense of the Catholic Church it should be noted that the last pope at least recognized evolution as explaining the how, while it was religons responsibility to explain the why.

In defense of myself I just randomly threw in the first things that came into my head here. :p
