CD Drive Help!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a CD drive problem.

I have a MATSHITA UJDA750 DVD/CDRW drive, and it has an error. I cannot use it anymore, and after exploring on Device Manager it has this error message:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Can anyone suggest how I can repair this?

Thank you.

use registry mechanic 4 to fix the registry, works wonders as it says registry incomplete. teh free part fo it will do the job, so download teh trial.

Neither of those options have helped. Un-installing didn't change it, and I couldn't find the problem on Registry Mechanic.

I think I've traced it back to a problem in the Serial Registry, as this has an error too:

This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

This refers to Non-Plug play drivers.

Any more ways to fix this or the problem itself?
