While I did catch that you were joking, I had to read the link first. But accepting it as plausable that Pat Robertson would say such a thing isn't exactly superlativly stupid. Frankly, if he had said it, it wouldn't have even been the dumbest or craziest thing he ever said.
I'd say the dumbest would be when he quoted a Conservative Satire site and repeated their joke as literal truth (the joke being that Barbara Boxer said she always votes the way Chuck Schumer tells her to).
The craziest would be when he went to a fountain that was decorated with carvings of Vedic gods that was used as a local water source in an Indian village, and he said that the locals were using this fountain to bathe in a demon's semen.
