This was not planned.

I keep running to this one mysterious arguement made by creationists. This has happened in both RL and NS so many times in such a very short time period that I feel like posting about it in General Forum.

The arguement is: "There is so small possibility, *add_the_terrible_number*%, that the world like ours would ever occure without planning, that there must have been a god."

Now, my point:"This world/universum of ours is not any goal, it is not anything that someone/something tried to achieve, it is not any final version, it is not the best possible form. If you have random pieces of material and so much time that it makes the word "time" useless, the possibility-percentage that SOMETHING will come up is pretty damn big!"

Thank you, and sorry for the clumsy language and lack of humour in the post. It's 4:30 in the morning and I'm not that good in English. Just felt like saying this.

Good night.

Randomness is inversely proportional to time.

I had a die that (for some reason) had a seventh dot on the sixth place once. The reason I bring this up is because it was great for arguing about the probability that something might happen.
OTHER GUY: *Ranting about something, generally political ("the chances that so and so would randomly do such and such at this time are minimal" sort of thing)*
ME: And then sometimes, you roll a 7 on a 6 sided die. *drops die, 7 side up, on table*
OTHER GUY: *Stops, baffled*
ME: *Picks up die and walks out of the room*
Yeah, I wouldn't say that I really won any of those arguments, but the looks on their faces when the only response they got was a random dice comment, priceless.

I would compare the infinitely small chance thing to a lottery: there is a minute chance someone will win but there is a very large chance that anyone will win.

Be that as it may, the someone that does win would think it was an act of God too.

In which case they would assume it was an act of Myrth.
