i have just landed the coolest school project ever with the task of building and using an air powered potato gun, well really a gun that fires anything....

anyone got any useful sources for making compressed air powered rather than hair spray/propene powered??

thanks

my dad and I made a potato cannon when I was like 12, I don't really remember what we used but I do know that the potatoes were flying out of that thing at like 50mph (we had a family friend who had a radar gun) after we accidentally broke a window my mom made us dismantle it :(

I use butane. I'm not sure you could get sufficient pressure to really send a potato using air pressure.

So, nothing to do with 'Sir' Richard Richard, Edward Elizabeth Hitler, or Little Dave Hedgehog, then.

Ah well.

It's just you. 'Spud Gun' is a character on the BBC comedy, 'Bottom' starring Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall.
