I have a book I read every fall (at least every other year, as I rarely read a book twice). I was wondering if anyone else has a book they turn to at a certain time of year.

Mine is Desolation Angels by Jack Kerouac.

I'm the only one in this?

I read alot of random horror short stories. Recently re-read "The Last Illusion". It's one of Clive Barker's Harry D'amour private eye horror stories. I'm going to read some Thomas Ligotti tonight. Probably selections from the book Noctuary so I get to re-read Autumnal, one of my favorite very short stories.

Around Halloween I pull out one of my H.P. Lovecraft compilations.

good call...occasionally I bring out the Unabridged The Stand by Stephen King. It's one of the only King stories I like, because of the basis in reality.
