I was just wondering what most people on Nationstates think about religion. It's bound to be at least 75% atheists, isn't it? Poll will follow, if I can get it to work...

Oops, I wasn't supposed to vote, was I? Anyway, I voted wrong. :headbang:

Atheist, but I'm pretty much a live & let live person. If you want to believe in a god, then that's your right.

I am gnostic, for lack of a better word. Not Gnostic, as in one of the mystic christian beliefs, but gnostic, as opposed to agnostic. I have had visions and a state of grace. The incredible and indefinable has made me aware of my connection with all.

Agnostics do not know if God exists. I do. I can't prove it on a scientific level, but then again, I don't need to.

Me too, but I was on some good shit at the time.

Me three, but only after a little run-in with a brick wall.

In lieu of a joke option (**shakes fist**) I voted other.

The Unholy Church of Melkor. We weren't on your list, but we are well known.

The odd thing was that I was working at the time, making pizza in a restaurant.

I am a devout member of the Order of Violet, the Cult of the Undead Tiger Moth, and the Unholy Church of Melkor.

HAIL FIREFURY!

[[But I voted atheist, because none of those was on the list for some reason.]]

I don't think there's a category for me up there, but atheist is close to it. Still, I chose "My own that nobody knows about".

hmm same thing, except for completely different;)

Christian, but pretty much live and let live. If you don't want to believe in God, then that's your right. Nothing I can do about it, not my business.

... And you'll burn in hell, you infidel scum!:D

Agnostic. I don't think there's a God, but I hope he (she, it) exists.

most likely not. but due to my 'apathetic' attitude, others might. :(
I do evangelize, just try to keep it to a minimum when people are very opposed, and I stop completely when someone says to. (same courtesy I would want from someone trying to sway me to another religion or nonreligion) golden rule and all you know?;)

Join the Holy Order of the Guardians of the Undead Tiger Moth of Melkor! It is the only way you can avoid salvation!

I think you should look up the definition of an atheist. "I totally believe there is no god" is not a correct description.

So far, it's only 48% atheists.

Amazing how that always seems left out of polls, even though it's a rather large movement - especially in the US. *shrug*
