Some PETA members are up on 25 felony charges for killing cats and dogs.

So much for ethical treatment. Just shoot 'em up with Phenobarbital and dump 'em in the trash.

I've seen PETA "bird rescuers" doing that wholesale with birds.
I've watched them collect them from ponds where the birds were in no trouble - caught them with nets - then killed them and dumped them.
All to prevent hunting.
I've also seen them at cleanup sites, washing the birds in soap that you know will kill the bird, then killing the washed birds at the end of the day when the TV crew leaves (of course, video of birds being washed is shown on TV).
It's not hard to join a local group for PETA, and see first hand the nonsense they do. If they ask you to inject a bird or other animal, just act squeamish and they'll do it for you - so you don't have to be complicit in what they do.

Pentobarbital.. much more humane. :p I remember hearing about this on the Penn and Teller show, back when I had cable a few years ago (descrambler actually - damned digital cable).. something was fishy when they were ordering large freezers..
That is peta for you. Hopefully this will wake more people up to the hypocrasy of this organization. I still am pissed on how they can walk up to me, throw my steak on the floor and call me a murderer, yet they can kill animals in the back of a van and it be acceptable. Fortunantly, in this area no one knows of them or just laughs at them.
I heard something about animal rights activists "liberating" a mink farm, and since they were ill educated morons, they didn't realise how it would effect the local eco-system. It ended with far far more animal deaths than just the mink.

Sorry, holdover from another forum I used to frequent.

Haven't seen that yet, but I should suggest it to them.
It's refreshing to go to meet people who are members of PETA. Their tinfoil hats are so large, spiky, and sparkly.

PETA in portuguese means bullsh*t, so I already suspected something like this.

PETA and the American Criminals Liberties Union are both horrible cases of hypocrasy. I hope they don't go after the foxies or wolves. Those are too cute to kill. Bunnies, on the other hand, are too delicious to leave standing. Delicious and devestating.

I'm pretty extreme in my views on animal rights, but even I think PETA are, for the most part, a bunch of 'fucktards', as the kids say. They do far more to hinder the cause they supposedly support than help it.
