I wish I was kidding. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9728209/)

Here's a question for discussion: what movie would you rather see less than Rocky 6? Make it a sequel to something, or your very own idea--I don't care--it just has to suck donkey ass to a greater degree than Rocky-effing-6.

Isn't Sylvester Stalone like 90 or something by now? AFAIK you're not allowed to bring a walker into the boxing ring.

I'd rather see Manos, the Hands of Fate or Troll 2. These truly are the lowest depths of humanity, and Imdb has given them the prestigious bottom spots on the 100 Worst Films of All Time.

Either that or Gayniggers from Outer Space. I have some serious issues with the GNAA these days.

But crappy movies? Elizabethtown

Steel yourself, and keep Mystery Science Theater 3000 at hand. That is all I can say.

The only thing funnier, and sadder, than a 60 year old Sylverster Stalone playing a has-been boxing character from a decade and a half ago is having the guy fight a character named "Mason 'The Line' Dixon."

Made-up sequels no one wants to see (ignore all real sequels no one wanted to see:
Jurassic Park IV
The Santa Clause III
Jason whatever-number-they-are-on-now
Nightmare at the North Pole (actually that sounds interesting)
Star Wars -I (yes, that is a negative 1)
Pokemon: Revolution of the please-stop-making-new-Pokemon
Parent Trap IV, Lion King III, Little Mermaid II, Toy Story 3, the sequel to the new bastardized Herby movie, and any other sequels Disney ever did or will ponder making.

Is it "Lion King III" or "Let's capitalize on the popularity of Timon and Pumba and make a movie based on them"?

I would so pay to see that. Come on--Olympia Dukakis and Dolly Parton popping and locking? Who wouldn't?

Rocky II was unneccisary, it actually flew in the face of Rocky-and I'll get to why in a bit. Rocky III was saved by Clubber (Mr.T) Lane and IV by Ivan and James Brown. I didn't see V, why would I?

Here's the thing-what made Rocky such a great movie is that Rocky lost. Like the other great boxing movie it wasn't that he won it's that he never got knocked out, he went the distance and proved that he deserved to be there, not just to the world or to Apollo, but to himself and to his trainer and those around him-it was a personal victory on a public stage.

And that has been the problem with all the "Rocky's in another sport"--they seem to insist that the underdog win and beat the evil good players rather than it being that the underdog simply proves he or she belongs on the stage. Going that extra too far makes them cartoonish and gives lie to the underdog status of the protagonist.

So, since VI is the Vth slap in the face of what should stand as a fantastic sports movie, nope-not within 100 yards. Unless they have a fabulously cartoony foil (I didn't click the link, is it really Mason "The Line" Dixon??? That's priceless...)

So what would I rather see then Rocky VI? Highlander V perhaps. If you're going to destroy a concept by over telling it, go whole hog...

It isn't named in that link, but yes, it is Mason "The Line" Dixon. That is why I thought this was a joke when I first heard about it (on Rick & Bubba).

Sorry. I fell into the trap of thinking that any sequel rocks if you add "Electric Boogaloo" to the title.

I'm inclined to agree. One regret I have is that I no longer have the Breakin' II: Electric Boogaloo poster I got from a video rental store in my youth. I think one of my proudest moments would be taking that into the frame shop to be mounted.

I never bothered watching the 1st two, and certainly won't waste my time and money watching #6.

Hello, Golden Raspberry Awards! We have next year's winner!

It could be worse. Travolta really, really wants to make Battlefield Earth II. (But if he does it, he's going to have to put up the money himself; nobody else will touch it.)

I never liked the first one and I'm guessing it went down hill from there. It will be nice to see them filming yet another movie here in Philadelphia. Maybe I can get myself in the background somewhere. Even so, I still won't watch the movie.

No. The first one was good, but when you get to six sequels, everything that possibly made the first one good has been done to death.

I forced myself to sit down and watch the first one, and that was only because everyone makes reference to it, and I felt left out.

I can't fathom watching anymore of it. blech. too violent. now I can handle things blowing up and such, I really like the Die Hard movies, but when you get fist to fist combat, esp in slow motion, yeah I am too much of a chick for that.

Bullshit--Good Night and Good Luck is a brilliant film, and an important one, as it covers a vital portion of US history.

Actually, I believe they ARE making a Jurassic Park IV...everyone LOVES dinosaurs!

As for Rocky VI...no thanks...the Rocky movies (aside from the first one) were bad enough. I don't need to see Stallone's desperate comback attempt...seriously, what was the last movie that guy was in, anyways?

That said, I would rather see Rocky VI over, say...Independence Day II, or Titanic II. :p

Well, if everyone loves dinosaurs, they'll love Rocky VI!

Titanic II - revenge of the ice berg. It's back and it's pissed!

Really if I wanted to see some old has-been get into a fight, I'll just wander down to the local on a Friday night around 11pm. Much cheaper and more entertaining.
