I'm doing a paper for a law writing class, and I need some help.
What is the natural opposer to the Underdog?
Please keep your terms vague.
Thank you! :fluffle:

The "Man" will work perfectly in this paper. I'll post in another thread when I'm done. Mass peer review.
Thank you! :fluffle:

Underdog's main foes included underworld boss Riff Raff, and Simon Bar Sinister, an evil scientist who once created a Big Dipper Machine to steal the world's water supply. He then enslaved the citizens and made them do as "Simon Says" just to get a drink

So, Riff Raff and Simon Bar Sinister.
Other, slightly less spammy alternatives include the big cheese and the favourite.
Possibly also Topcat, for different reasons.
(And was any of this even remotely relevant?)

what law writing class is this?
I'm in my law library right now writing a 60 page paper on consumer protecton laws in the EU and US....I wish I were writing on underdogs!
Anyways, my answer is "Riff Raff."
which is a joke I doubt many people will get.
damn, I was beat to the Underdog joke.

I would wager that it has something to do with the underdog appeal to jurors in civil cases. Of course I could be unbelievably wrong, but heh, that’s why I don’t gamble.

is "Man"ism a word?
I dont think so...
However, if you are suitably tactful in its use, you may be able to pull off making it a word... maybe...

I don't think you'll get away with it. Find a longer synonym for man and use that. Man is too short.

If it's not make it one, that's what Shakespeare did and people call him a genius. Coincidence? I think not.

That would have been PERFECT! Too bad you came to late.
The paper is done, and, if you people would like, I will post it.

I would like to see it if you used any of my suggestions. So i can bask in reflected glory
I would also like to see it if you used none of my suggestions, so that i can mock you and make rude comments about your genetic ancestors.
in short, I would like to see it.
