I'm having sausage pizza and hot and sour Chinese soup. Haven't decided if I will wash it down with diet Sprite, diet Root Beer, or bourbon and water.

Splurged tonight--ribeyes I've been marinating for the last couple of hours, roasted corn on the cob, asparagus and a couple of bottles of inexpensive but decent red wine, a cabernet/merlot mix. There will be three of us dining, by the way.

dinner... depends on what I can catch in my 'Fridge. the meatloaf kinda evolved into something with teeth... it ate the leftover chicken... the fish learned how to fly, (it moved from the bottom shelf to the top.) the pork chop somehow reproduced... there's one more piece than I remembered...

probably will hit Micky D's on the way home.

It's the toward the end of the trout season on the Chattahooche. That means no more stocking by DNR. But I did have a good day near the dam, so we had some trout. Caught five, kept two. Had some broccoli and rice along with them.

I hate the 'end of the season'. Now it's back to the grocery store for tomatoes, blueberries, peaches, pears, cucumber, and corn. I'm almost to the point where I can't eat any of those if I have to buy them from a store.

Grilling this afternoon as co-host of the last cookout in the park for this year.

My half of the menu:
Garlic, onions, and assorted Japanese mushrooms marinated in beer and my homemade BBQ sauce and grilled in butter
Jacket roasted new potatoes
Zubrokwa Drunk Chicken breast
Chicken breasts in a sweet chili, garlic, and pinapple sauce
Chorizos marinated in beer
Jack Daniels Steaks
Chicken legs marinated in a plain youghurt sauce

And to drink - beer - lotsa beer!

And on that note, I'm jumping offline to go get ready.

Everyone will probably collectively gag at what I ate:
a fried bologna sandwich. You cook bologna on a frying pan, while at the same time frying an egg. Add a slice of american sliced cheese on the egg, let it cook for a while, then take the egg(w/cheese) and bologna and put them on bread(I like mine toasted).
If you do it right, its very tasty.

Celtund, you and I agree. The universe is about to end. :D I grew 7 kinds of tomatoes this year (including an F1 hybrid I crossed myself...next year I anxious to see what develops in the F2 generation when the genes begin to segregate,) and 4 kinds of basil. Yes, I'm an heirloom geek.

Dinner tonight will be chicken fajitas marinated in a home-made hotsauce and a funky coleslaw

Green on some cheese is OK, but when the meatloaf turns green look out. It can become viscous.
