I just started using outlook, and I'm having trouble connecting it to my Hotmail account.

I entered all my info correctly, using the HTTP mail server template. It still wont work.

Any advice?

For accessing hotmail? Try a browser.

Thats the whole point. I usually use the browser, but I have several accounts, and would like to have one program so I can check them all at the same time.

Is that even possible? Wouldn't you have to be signed in to all of them at once from the one computer? (BTW, if you couldn't already tell, I jhaven't a clue how to help. Sorry, TSI)

Of course it's possible. Login, logout, login, logout, login, logout. repeat as nessesary.

So what's the problem with doing that in a browser?

It annoys me, and takes too much time. I want to streamline the process.

Hotmail doesn't use POP, so you won't be able to use a regular email client to read it. I can't remember if Outlook can read from Hotmail, although Outlook Express can, it even has an option that says 'Hotmail' to set it up. I don't know if it'll do more than one account, though.

What especifically is the problem you're having?

It does. Ok, so I set it all up. Triple check my info. I hit the send/recieve button. After about a min, this comes up:

Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error (0x800CCC19) : 'A timeout occurred while communicating with the server.'

I have no idea what this could be about.

I googled that error. It seems to be a problem with Outlook when having more than one Hotmail account. Apparently there's no fix yet. Sorry.
