Yet another chapter in the "struggle to defend morality".

Why is it that the loudest, most influential voices in the christian community always have the most insidious things hiding under the surface? Whatever happened to praticing what you preach?

Because they are powerful and wealthy, and have very little accountability. Every influential religious lobby of every belief is almost guaranteed to have these kinds of problems simply because they are wealthy and can act the part in public to keep their supporters happy. When it comes out, it's usually quite severe and quite widespread.

The news wouldn't be interesting without scandal, have you ever seen a news story about someone who was doing what is deemed as socially acceptable?

not often, the news is about murder, abuse, protests, fires, anything at all that they can find.

what this man is accused of doing is wrong, and I don't think it should be 'swept under the rug' or anything but I am just waiting for the slew of people who will start up about "this is the reason I hate Christians"
