And not only that, but a recently Al-Qaeda letter which cited low morale among terrorists, and was "leaked" by the U.S. government has been condemned by Al-Qaeda as a fake:

Did you expect the terrorists to say anything different? Did you know that the terrorists want to turn Iraq into an Islamic State where they can go into Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan to take out Israel?

And Al-Qaeda never lies, nope not even once. Really, how much trust can you have for a source that doesn't even know what color the White House is?
A resounding "MEH" on to you sir, Chomsywhatevers.

Bush, Al Qaeda, if you want a sensational news flash, get back to us if and when either one is caught not doing propaganda...

yeah i saw the staging of the "informal chat" on the abc evening news tonight. OOPS. not that i didnt know it went on but its funny to see how carefully they rehearse an unrehearsed question and answer session.

Just as funny as all those town hall-style meetings and debates during last year's election campaign.

When was the last time Al-Qaeda was afraid of letting people know what its rather large goals were? When was the last time they didn't take credit for something they did?

Just as a matter of principle, if Al-Qaeda says it didn't do something which it usually says it does, I am likely to believe the,.

As was put so suscinctly on another forum...

It’s another non-issue, of course; if any “staging” took place, it happened right in front of the reporters who were covering the event. No one hid anything. The main beef seems to be that the producers of the event took questions and comments only from soldiers who supported the Iraq effort. So what? It’s not as if people who want a dose of defeatism have nowhere to turn—they can always read the New York Times or Atrios.

Yawn. Yep. It's easy to "get caught" when you're not actually hiding anything.

Here's the difference, since you're too blind to notice--this shit happens all the time and the person at home watching on tv never knows about it because the media never tells them. This time they have. That's the big fucking deal. The media didn't do the two-step with Bush this time.

HA! You use sarcasm in public forums, I bet you didn't think that you would be caught did you?
Chomskyface over there was also pretty sure that I wouldn't realize that he believes in the ideals of Noam Chomsky, but I caught him too!

And it seems that this Fiddleboozer fellow is reinforcing someone else's point with weak humor simply for the purpose of swelling his post count.
I'm on to all of you!

Saying Bush is spouting propaganda is like saying Nazi's hate Jews.... It's redundent.

Oh, wait. They've always believed that it was their job. "We'll tell you what to think & believe, and who we think you should vote for..."

This time they have. That's the big fucking deal. The media didn't do the two-step with Bush this time. And you don't think that is just as politically motivated as the setup itself? Who's really blind here?

So tell me this, smart guy--without journalists, how would you find out what's happening? Like it or not, we depend on them to keep us informed, and they've been doing a pretty shitty job of it of late. So this time they didn't--hoo-fucking-raw.

But know this--you depend on them as much as anyone else does--without journalists, you've got nothing but government propaganda coming at you, and for the last five years at least, that's about what you've had anyway. So whether you choose to agree or sneer, it doesn't matter--this time they pulled back the curtain and showed the innerworkings. I hope it continues, although I have no reason to believe it will.

Like it or not, we depend on them to keep us informed, and they've been doing a pretty shitty job of it of late. So this time they didn't--hoo-fucking-raw. I depend on journalists to tell one part of a story. I then check with several journalists and non journalist sources. What I DON'T do is "depend" on them to tell me the truth. At best, it's "Trust, but Verify".
And again, how is this, or its timing, any less politically motivated than the staging itself? I hope it continues, although I have no reason to believe it will.I think you're a little off. For the past 20+ years we have been getting little but propaganda from the main stream media. It's taken the "alternative media" and the Web for them to realize that the Pajamhadeen can Verify faster than they Propagandize.

So again, BFD. Spin is. If you haven't learned that by the time you are old enough to vote, you probably shouldn't be allowed to.

edit: Oh, and nice way to utterly ignore my point and get on with your rant...
