Norton detected some virus called Trojan.Vundo yesterday. I followed their site's instructions on how to remove it. Downloaded the tool and used it several times. Norton says the virus is there, but the tool says it is not. WTF?

I tried to delete the infected file but it says it was in use. So, what sould I do?

It makes some adware file thing and I think it only affects IE.

I don't know if this will help, but I've started using this antivirus called Avast! that seems to be a little more effective and easier to use than Norton. You can download it for free. It does work slowly though.

Windows XP? Say exactly the trojan(there's plenty of types) Norton says and I might be able to search for some info.

Thanks a bundle DCD. The NerdHelp site at the bottom was very helpfuld and the virus appears to be gone for, hopefully, ever. :D
