Well, I've got my first university midterm in 2 hours.
It's for my political theory class, and it's an essay exam.
Any tips or advice?

political theory? that would include political philosophy then, not political science, right?
well it doesn't matter either way cos my advice is simple: keep it short, to the point, and keep referring back to the question (and re-reading it to make sure you're on track). of course that advice is true for any essay question, but its especially easy to wander off topic or try and unecessarily justify your points when essaying politics - something you can ill afford to do in an exam, obviously ;)
other than that i found it doesn't matter about quoting the classic political thinkers if you clearly show you understand whatever it was they were saying - especially true if you use their theories/thinking to relate to something else...

Hehe... theoretically... 'tis the land of chocolate, cows and cheese, but I'm taking a year of, so I won't have any exams at all this year.

Or if you're lazy: get a tounge piercing. Noone will be able to understand a word you say, so if you can look dead serious while you go "argleblabblegargle" you should do just fine.

Write an essay on every single possible topic they might pick, and then hand in the one they do select.... That's what I always do.

Midterms? Geez it's barely 1st quarter where I am
It's halfway through my 1st quarter here.
TSI, you passed the midterm. I can tell through my omniscience. (That just means you got above 60/100. If passing grade in your school is 65 or 70, you may be screwed. Or not. Only time can tell.:p

I also had the wrong bluebooks. Mine were really small, and they're Bluebooks were larger.
Makes me think they're trying to compensate for something. ;)
