Connery can't kick his own ass anymore, but yes, HE was THE Bond. :D

As to this new guy, he looks like a bad guy for a Bond movie, or maybe someone Bond would work with. But for Bond himself? Hmmm...

P.B., for one more I think, it would be best... He's still good but I admit I don't want him to hang around too long like Moore did.

They're still probably going to dye his hair dark for the movie, guys. Don't die of hate yet. If not, then ready the pitchforks.

I still want Clive Owen in there.

Seconded. Bond sucks.

All his movies are basically this:

First ten minutes: Action
Next two hours: Blah, blah, blah, blah (with sex in between the boring conversations)
Last ten-twenty minutes: Action

The last Bond Movie kind of made me go Meh to the whole thing. I never got the impression that Bond could loose. Besides, shouldn't he be dead after handling the nuclear rods from that sub. ;)

What happened to Clive? He would have been a great Bond!

That's the second-last movie, 1999/2000's The World Is Not Enough, that you're referring to, not the last movie, 2002's Die Another Day. ;)

As long as he's a good actor, who gives a damn what he looks like? If he can pull it off, I'll like him. If not, well then I just won't watch his movies.

But I'm willing to give him a chance.

Idiots! I am the true Bond master, the movie your referring to is "The Spy Who Loved Me", starring Roger Moore as Bond, was the first appereance of Jaws, and had the sweet ass Lotus Esprit that could turn into a sub.

Back on topic, if they make that pansy ass guy Bond, then they'll of ruined the greatest craze ever to hit movies. They might as well make Bond gay/a women and have him sit down and talk it out with the bad guys instead of popping caps in their asses!

I was hoping they would put that serie to sleep as its been going rapidly downhill since ol' Sean quit the job.

Wouldn't mind seeing another Jason Bourne flick though, now here's a guy who can really kick ass! Compare the action scenes from the two Bourne movies with the latest Bond films.... can't even say there is 'contest.' On top of having better action scenes, the Bourne character is far more interesting than James Bond, or 'James Bore,' ever was. Not even mentioning that the Bourne storylines make the usual Bore-formula pale in comparison.

Rodger Moore is teh win.

He's okay, but circumstances conspired to make his films suck: the "comedy" elements of Moonraker, for example. I think when the car flips over when flying across the bridge and there's that little slapstick clown noise? I adored Bond films, having seen most of them before Moonraker, but I think that moment actually took a good year off my life.

Good on Daniel Craig. If nothing else, he's definitely got the voice for it.

Hey, Rupert Everett and his friend want to sell the idea of a gay James Bond. Now I'm about as tolerant as they come on everything except conservative politics, but the idea of a gay James Bond makes about as much sense as a white Shaft.

Connery is Bond. All others are merely parodies or lame-ass wannabes. I like Pierce Brosnan, but couldn't stand him as Bond -- he seemed like a fussy old lady with no sense of humor or style. Bond is supposed to enjoy his job.

I like Daniel Craig. But as Bond? I'll give him a chance, but...

It should have been Clive Owen for the macho. Or maybe Ioan Griffud for the style.

No, I see what you're saying. Most of Brosnan's problems came with the scripts, not him personally.

He doesn't look like James Bond. His posture is wrong, and so is his expression. He just looks like an average Joe (or Jack, since he's British.) I want Pierce Brosnan back... or maybe a clone of Sean Connery when he was younger, if possible.

Hell, I grew up with Pierce Bronson shaping my personal view of James Bond. I saw my first Bond movie in around 1997 (I was 7 years old) which was "Tommorrow Never Dies."

So, I'm rather excited for ANY change to James Bond.

Name a major movie that Brosnan has done outside of Bond. Most of them tend to suck and be vacuous action or romance flicks. Exactly like James Bond but without the notoriety. Owen does not want to go dawn that road. Of course, he probably wouldn't since he's a better actor than pretty-boy Brosnan, but he's apparently not going to chance it.

Being a bit of a Bond fan myself, I have to say that I have never heard of the guy, and I will wait to judge him. But he has big shoes to fill. When Pierce Brosnan was James Bond, he was far more than James Bond. He was the definition of debonair. I mean, a picture of him should've accompanied the dictionary entry for debonair.

So we got Timothy Dalton instead...
Anyway, Mrs. Doubtfire is a good example of a major movie Brosnan was in that did not suck. :p
