I’m sure that topic got a few of you rushing for the tissues and upped your heart rate a few dozen bpm, but I only do that sort of work on Sundays so you’re out of luck. So here’s the deal: I have absolutely no interest in pornography. In fact, it repulses me. I’m gay, and naturally don’t like the idea of straight sex, but even gay porn is repulsive.

I can’t fathom of any real reason why. I’m not religious, I’m not against porn in any way, I’m not asexual, I’m definitely aroused by the right kind of men, but even those kind of men in a porn film wouldn’t “do” it for me. So I got talking with my boyfriend, he openly admits to having 4GB (!!!) of porn. He’s quite the connoisseur, saying he’d show me stuff that he thinks I would like. Well, I didn’t. It’s not erotic, it’s horrid.

I enjoy sex as much as the next guy, but I suppose artificial sex just doesn’t do it for me. So, I was wondering if I’m considered odd by you lot (I’m guessing you’re all shouting YES at the monitor right now, what with 90% of you being nerds and all – no offence :)), or if people in my situation are more common than I think.

All "porn" is ridiculous when it has no plot, uses OOOOooomyyyyygggoood, and with little continuity and poor descriptions, especially if you are someone looking for substance. Porn is hardcore and without much imagination, erotic lit especially, can offer a great plot and excellent writing on par with, well, frankly with whatever style you choose.

When it comes to movies, porn is made to the select mass because that's what sells and by the billions of dollars, although some actually offers high quality and has a high standard from script to actors and even sex, full nude or teasing, its usually erotic rather than porn, though.

Perhaps it's just a matter of 'porn is not what you are looking for' and maybe the movie or story that turns your crank is more erotic in nature than pornographic.

I kind of understand. I'm strangely repulsed by nude men, yet I'm a bisexual female, and I'm involved with a wonderful guy.

The only reasoning for my situation seems to be that women have curves that are naturally pleasing to the eye. In short, women are easier to look at.

There is a huge difference between written porn/erotica, and video porn/erotica.

A lot of written stories have a plausible plot, and in a lot of instances, reasonably believable sex. Where more mainstream literature basically works around the sex, erotic writers are not afraid to 'go there'. I've read some damn fine smut, thank you.

I have yet to see a porno movie where the story and acting was barely at a level above atrocious. And the dialogue? Puh-leeeze! "Oooh, baby, ah"

That's not to say that there isn't a lot of crappy written stories as well, but given my choice, I'd rather read it than see some silicone Princess squeaking her way through a scene until the money shot.

Okay, this whole thing makes me sick to my stomach, you know being gay and all. I'm not here to cridicize but to say: I am a christian, and you all most likely know that I'm NOT for gay. But I completley understand it's your opinion and I respect that. Even if I think it's wrong I still can be friends with gay people and stuff. I just can't be gay myself. Gay people are nice! Then again, when you take out the gayness of it, wether or not you like whatever it is you like, everyone is the same. SO its just a little thing. not in todays society though. Oh well... I forgot what I was going to say...

How can you tell if a girl is lesbian or not? I asked out this one girl and she said no(basically) and I found out later that she was lesbian after half the school laughed at me.

I'm not exactly all for porn either. Gay guys are actually quite easy to hang with and I have no problem with lesbians... however! If anyone hits on me or makes any kinds of suggestions... that's a BIG no no.
