How often do you drink?

How often, how much?
Is it even ethical correct?

Personally I never get drunk but I do drink alcohol.

I never drink to get drunk, but I have been drunk before. Usually At a birthday party or when I'm out with some friends.

None, ever. That might sound prudish, but if you've worked in the bar business, you may sour on the idea.

Occasionally. I try to avoid getting drunk, though. I hate the hangovers...

Mmmrff. When someone has Bailey's, I'll have it with ice. But for the same reason I avoid buying chocolate Hobnobs - I know I'd eat them all in a matter of hours - I avoid buying Bailey's. Though I wouldn't neck the bottle, let's get that clear. I realise to do so may well be actually fatal. 'sjust a similar principle.

I never drink during the week, and I'll have about 3 or 4 beers each day during the weekend. I rarely drink hard alcohol, although I do enjoy good red wine.

Occasionally I go all out and get completely wasted, including harder drinks, but that only happens on special occasions like birthdays and whatnot...usually about once a month or so...

...and I almost never get hangovers. :D

I drink about 3 days a week. About 15 drinks each day. That might seem like a lot, but I go to Texas Tech Univeristy. It's what we do best.

about 1-2 glasses of wine/beer maybe 2-3 days in a week.

Way much more with intention of getting wasted maybe once a month :)

As much and as often as possible. (as long as it doesn't piss the wife off, or get me in trouble with the law) BUT I NEVER get behind the wheel while or after drinking. I learned that the hard way a few years ago. You know you messed up when they have to call in a hand micro-surgeon to put your leg back together!

i only drink to get drunk, don't drink otherwise (don't really see the point, mostly doesn't taste too nice imho)
if i'm gonna drink i may as well do it properly (get wasted) but less frequently, so thats probably once a month here too (used to be far more often though, till i realised its not all that fun)

I do not drink alcohol, never have, most likely never will (for personal reasons).

To quote Sartre “everything is permitted”.

I do drink

and do so quite heavily

but I do it in a social context

and very rarely get drunk (i've been drunk twice but I have some alcohol most days)

if you have a alcoholic drink and then a soft drink you don't get so drunk

also you don't get a hangover very much :)

Mostly red wine at dinner. Half a 75cl bottle daily or thereabouts. Used to drink a lot more. Never get drunk, though. Which happens to be not so healthy, of course.

Every evening. I always have one (1) after-dinner drink. It varies from Jägermeister, rum, a black russian, etc. I find that it helps digestion, especially after a fatty meal.

once every month or so...
but i metabolise alcohol very quickly - so never get a hangover - and am generally sober - or at least on the way towards it - before sleep...
other issue is i cant stand the taste of cheap drinks... most drinks i like start at $50 a bottle...

When i do drink, because of the above reasons, i generally consume about 20-30 standard drinks, unless it is just wine with dinner or something then its generally just a glass, maybe 2. - This can get me in a little bit of strife when someone asks me to pour them a drink as i give them a light one for me, and its still generally 2-3 standards in the glass... :-)

Not to ruin your fun but maybe you should stop drinking. Alcoholism is - continued use despite negative consequences(sp). As much and as often as possible? If you are serious, this is not a normal way to drink alcohol. You allude that it has caused marital problems and trouble with the law. A sure sign that you should stop. Casual drinkers rarely let alcohol negatively affect thier lives on such a personal level. They put the drink down. It sounds like you almost lost your leg in a drunk driving accident. Regardless of whether you were driving or not, you seem to be minimizing the seriousness of the event. The definition of insanity according to A.A. is doing the same things over and over again expecting a different result. Everything you described from your drinking history will probably happen again in spite of your good intentions.

Take it from someone that knows now to stay away from all drugs. Stop drinking.

Had one bad experience while almost drunk and I haven't been near that far ever since. I don't think it's ethically wrong to drink, though drinking too much is. Haven't had anything in a long time, and that was after an even longer time without a drop...

I, too, am underage, but it hasn't stopped me from drinking. My own knowledge of the fact that being drunk is not fun has, though. When drunk I get tierd, quiet, pensive, and tend to get a bit angry. This isn't fun, so I don't drink except small social doses when good stuff is around.

I'm 16 tomorrow. Legal age here in NZ is 18.
I used to drink every weekend with the intention of getting drunk. That was about 3-4 months ago. Now I don't because it's cricket season and playing with a hangover isn't that fun. So now I drink lightly (2-3 beers) about once a month, perhaps a little more/less.

In the past, Ive been known to get sloshy drunk, with some regularity, although in reality, I'm not the drinker I think I am, if you know what I mean.

I like a nice drink every so often, depending on what it is, although I think most beer tatses like asshole juice.
However, on a really hot day, a nice frosty beer served in a glass bottle, is nice.

So, when I drink, I usually go for liquor.
Trouble is, these days, if I dont get a headache right off the bat, then I usually get sick from it, before I get drunk.
So whats the point?

So, while I rarely consume enough alchohol to get drunk, I do occasionally enjoy a cognac, or a gin and tonic, or Mudslide, or a bloody mary.

My favorite however, would have to be Woodchuck Cider.
The only place I have ever found this wonderful brew served on tap, is at the Michigan Renaissance Festival.
Its texture is like any beer, but sweet, crisp and light....I tell you now, it is the drink of the frikkin gods.

I went there twice three times this year, and drank enough to get drunk, twice.

i've always been the one amongst my friends who takes drinking too far. not in that i get too wasted, but in that i can handle my drink, so as i get nicely sloshed everyone else tries to keep up with me and ends up trashed :p
i am to blame for many, many a deathly hangover :D

edit: that said i haven't had much practice in the last... 6 months. i'd probably loose a drinking contest to a fresher by now  :p

Personally I never get drunk but I do drink alcohol.
Daily (usually)

2-8oz Liquor (Whiskey/Gin/Vodka) depending on mood & food.

Why wouldn't it be? I do not drink & drive, nor do I drink to get drunk... (often. When I do, it's Saki - lots of it.) :p

Don't drink at all. I don't encourage people to get drunk, but you can do what you want. Just don't drink and drive, that takes the affair out of your domain and puts it into the realm of public policy. If you get drunk and drive and end up killing someone, I have little sympathy for you.

All the time. Too much, in fact, probably. A lager, generally a miller or something, most weekdays, and about 8 beers spaced out over the weekend, which may be at the pub or not, and may be lager or ale (depending on how much cash i've got at the time). Bleh. I enjoy it anyway, and that's all I'm really concerned with. :p
