Thanksgiving isn't only an American holiday?!

I'm in shock.

Well, there's no Pilgrim dealie, and it's tied in with the harvest - it's more like an equinoctial feast. Somewhat more Pagan in nature, really...

...at least from my POV.

You just eat 'til you pass out. There's really no other way to acknowledge it. I'm on the verge of passing out now, and it'll be even worse tomorrow night - a friend is cooking up a 20-pounder turkey for all of us with no family get-togethers to attend in the city. I think I'll make candied yams to bring along.

Seconded. I'm not Canadian, but I'm thankful that we have you to the north. I'll eat some turkey in remembrance of you all. Happy Thanksgiving.

ohhh... I can barely waddle right now... I think I might've overdone it a bit, actually.

Thanksgiving is good... but chicken > turkey. :D

I am sad though, because I didn't get any pie. :( But despite lacking of pie, I am thankful for the hearty meal I received!

I'm not a Canadian myself, but I believe in the spirit of Canada. May I celebrate Thanksgiving now?

I will be making a pumpkin pie tomorrow but it will be thanks to E.D. Smith pie filling, Tenderflake frozen pie shells, and Carnation evapourated milk. :D

And just to be somewhat untraditional, I am going to do a pork loin roast. :)

BTW, Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canucks!!
