Below is a story. It has several spelling and grammatical errors. Can you find and correct all of them? If so, you win a cookie and a bottle of whiskey.

Once upon a time, their lived an old man and his dog, Hubert. Hubert was a greyhound whom the old man had had since he was young. He was very happy; they never left each others' side. The old man was in his eighties and he had only two teeth in his mouth, the rest had fallen out due to his love affair with sweets, which he loved very much. It also stands to reason that he had diabetes because of his sweet tooth as well. The old man had no legs, they had been removed by the doctors at the hospital, still Hubert was with him there and everywhere.

One day, the old man, and Hubert, were walking along the street that was the main one of the city, which was Crackville. They did this all day because he did not hold an occupation. He was in a state of being jobless, of being unemployed; to be blunt, he was, a bum. Hubert would dig into all of the trashcans and where around at the time before the garbagemen picked them up at a later specified time.

One day, Hubert was digging into the cans and the old man while at the other end of the street, Hubert fell onto the garbage can. He yelped and yelped but no one heard, especially the old man. The garbagemen picked up the can and Hubert was still in it. They through the trash along with Hubert into the garbage truck and it began to crush the garbage. Hubert yelped and screamed until the old man finally hear him. He asked himself" Where is Hubert at?",. But noone responded. He walked up to the garbage men in horror and asked them politely, "Do you have five dollars that you could spare so I could have to buy food for me?"

I bolded the ones I think are wrong. The ones that have *'s by them mean I think they should be new sentences. While I think this a cool idea you should have made it much shorter.
