How good do you think the game is from a 1-10. 10 being the best.

NationStates cannot be rated. Those who have tried have all failed.

Ah, Nationstates. Yes, the great enigma. The device whose meaning, as far as the real world goes, is unknown. Is it a testing ground for Max Barry's evil plot of world domination? Is it a representational stage for the countries and real-world United Nations? Is it a symbol for the power and corruption of officials?

...Or is it merely an amusing internet game frequented by computer geeks and lonely introverts? Who can tell? In that way, truly, one can say NationStates can never be rated, for NationStates is just that—NS. Unratable, indescribable, its magical addiction intangible.

(Personally, 8. It's fun, but it has its flaws, like a lack of realism.)

i don't really like the game, only the forums.

I might go back to Runescape if I still know my password.

Not 10/10, because you get all the political intrigue of NS in EVE, with award-winning graphics, and the ability to kill people.

Yes, but what is the likelihood that you'd get about 4000 people like our General and RP forums elsewhere? :p

Still, I doubt you would have a Neo Regolia, Czardas, Colodia, Lunatic Goofballs, Fass, Serinpindal, Sdaeriji, Melkor Unchained, The Cat-Tribe, Jesus, and Drunk commies deleted all in a single asylum.

Let alone some of the other posters I like, such as Drache, TNM, and Eh-oh. Although I can always keep in touch with them via IM anyway.

How good do you think the game is from a 1-10. 10 being the best.

I will give it a 10, for letting us create nations and letting us pretend we rule the world or diffrent nations or regions, even if under NS issue bias, but we can still RP our nations our way on the RP forums, and we can go on the forums and argue our points of views on how to run the world.

All my threads have a public poll, well almost all, at least from now on, and I will always think of poll questions to ask, I think if we are to express, and vote on our diffrent points of view on NS, we should do it with a public poll.

I have seen many good threads that need a poll public or private with no poll at all.

The game? I'd say, 5.

The Forums? 8.

Like the fellow upstairs (La Habana Cuba) said...we can pretend to rule our own little world. Where else can you commit genocide against several million people, whilest simutaniously crushing three nations between your ass-crack with your kajizzillion man army?

Without feeling shitty, that is.

I like how your decisions can have unexpected consequenses, just like with real government policies. Unfortunately, the original issues affect your nation the way Max's politics think they will, which I disagree with. He once told me in an email that he is a "militant moderate", which I agree he is. So if you are not centrist (in other words, if you have a clear-cut ideology), things will not work the way you want them to. I left the game for over a year, but came back last month when I heard about new issues. Now it is a bit more random, because the user-submitted issues really throw the politics of the game into whack. But more fun I think. And the forums rock.

The game was really designed as an add for Max's book. I'm sure a few weeks after he made it, he was like..."this is so cool, I am going to make a fortune on Jennifer Government."

A few weeks after that, he was like "wtf? why aren't my book sales up?"

A few weeks later, he was like "dammit! Whose idea was this stupid game anyways? All it is is a headache- I've got a million people bitching at me to include war in this game, which I gave them for free, and they aren't even buying my book!"

(I bought it though, and Syrup too.)

We can still RP our nations, issues and laws in the RP forums with the affects we want them to have.

Forum=3? No wonder you have just the one post.
Anyway, for the game I give it 7 (with the added coolness of NS Tracker it becomes an 8).
Forum is also a 7.
