As I was sitting in the barber shop today getting a haircut, I had nothing to think about. After a long train of stupid thoughts ranging from sports to girlfriends to bad movies, I came upon a topic that stuck in my head. I wonder how often people on NS get their haircuts... So, I'm gonna ask. How often do you get a haircut?

I think every six months, or every year, depending on how fast my hair grows.

I like to keep my hair short.

I REALLY need one. I'm so shaggy around the edges it's not funny. But I still haven't gotten one since school started, and I kinda needed one back then too.

I don't know any good barbershops that 1. are within walking distance 2. are good 3. cater to men and 4. won't cost me an arm or a leg

<shakes fist> I was gonna say every 2-3 months, but that isn't an option. So I picked 1-2 months.

My hair grows very very slowly. I shaved my head this summer [and kept it shaved for the warm months], and I stopped taking a bic to it in Mid to late June, I believe, and it's just now about an inch long. In October.

With a hair-growth rate like this, I need about one a year. I shave my head in the summer, and grow it out for the winter. By the time I get around to shaving it all off again it's usually only about 4-6 inches long, but it's really thick, especially in the back and under the ears. My sideburns are like hedges, it's sweet.

every 6 months. Feb, I get my head shaved for my High School Swim Team. In otherwords, only 2, 3 hair cuts a year.

I get it cut every 2 months or so (though sometimes I get busy and don't as often). This is a problem because my hair grows fast. I get it cut short but it becomes a long curly mess in short time. To remain as short as most guys I would guess I would have to get it cut a little more often then once a month. When I was an undergrad I could grow a beard in the amount of time for my roomates facial hair to grow enough to merit shaving again (he didn't have to shave every day). I always look unshaven by evening.

I think I'm going to have to take the fifth on this one.

I get one every 4 months approximately. It's usually the only part of my body that looks the slightest bit civilized, although that's only after haircuts. By the end of the 3rd month, I have a tousled, unruly explosion of hair that appears to be expanding in all directions except down and resembles a function of z = cos r.

I take showers, yes... but I mean, when it's cut short it's the only part of my body that doesn't look either angular, knobby, or tangled up.

Last time I got a haircut was way back in the winter of 2003. October, I think. It was a buzzcut... Ugh, I *hate* short hair.

I get mine cut every 6-7 months. I get it cut pretty short, and when my hair is long enough to go in my ear, its time to get it cut again.

I got one in early July, just before my brief and unfortunate stint in the military, and I think I ought to get one at least before New Year's Eve. I'm growing my hair long (again. My greatest sacrifice for my country), but right now I seem to be developing a mullet.

Every 2-3 months. At the moment I shave my face just as often...

Whenever I can be arsed to get it done. I hate short hair, and it fucks up whenever I try and grow it (i.e. grows in so many directions it'd make a good signpost (oh, look, that tuft points to Portsmouth)). Perhaps I could gel it or summat. I lack motivation.

I hate hair. Down with hair!

My hair is to my waist - anything more than a trim every couple of years and my husband would cry :D
