What's your restaurant? It can be a family restaurant, a fast food joint, a fancy restaurant, a local restaurant, whatever. Just name it, and list your favorite food(s) from that restaurant.

Mine would have to be Mansetti's (my uncle owns the franchise, and another aunt and uncle own one of the restaurants I dine at frequently). My favorite meals there: penne rigate (with alfredo sauce), seafood alfredo, rigatoni supreme, and the Carnivore (pizza with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, hamburger, American bacon, etc.).

My favourite would likely have to be Tim Horton's. I absolutely love their Tuna Sandwhich and Cream of Broccoli soup.

Where I live there's a small Indian restaurant called Ghandi, so far I haven’t eaten anything I didn’t like there. Too bad I haven’t been there for a while now...

I forget its name, however it is a small, intimate restaurant that serves french cuisine impeccably, with remarkably lax conventions concerning alcohol consumption.

My favorite resturant all-around is probably Marcellino Ristorante
(marcellinoristorante.com). Run by a wonderful woman named Sima whose husband, Marcellino Verzino, is the chef.

I've had some of my favorite meals there...
wild boar ragu
fresh truffles
endless varieties of amazing pasta dishes

Usually runs about 60$ a person for dinner, appetiser/entree/dessert more with wine.

My second favorite resturant is House of Tricks, where I usually get lunch twice a week. They have a different special entree, soup, and quiche every day, so its impossible to get bored. I've been going there frequently for two years, its across the street from the Lang & Lit building at my university.

(houseoftricks.com)

Lunch entrees between 7-11 dollars, not bad at all, and oftentimes they give me free espresso afterwards :).

I'm something of an experienced, unemployed resturant critic :)

I tried this Brazilian place last week--Gaucho Rodizio--which was pricey as hell, but also wonderful. There's a lavish buffet for salads and other nibbly things--olives, etc.--and then they bring around various kinds of freshly grilled meat on skewers and they slice it off for you right onto your plate, all you can eat, everything from leg of lamb to filet mignon to veal--16 types of meat. A man can hurt himself at a place like that.

Joe T. Garcia's in Dallas, TX. They have a nice place near the stockyards. The menu was enchiladas for the longest time, then they added fajitas as an experiment. They serve some pretty good Margaritas, too.

Oooh, there's this upscale sushi place and bar called Kona Grill on the Country Club Plaza. I even gave up the Hibachi Grill and Plaza III for this place (both of which are WAAY swanky) because it's just amazing. The dragon roll is the best I've ever had, they find a way to even make the house salad absolutely mind-blowing.

Pardon my sudden excitement, but my boyfriend's taking me there tonight :D

We have a couple varieties of the Gaucho places around Atlanta, too. One of them is the table service model. When there's someone coming to your table every five minutes with some more meat, how can you refuse? The other type is more like a buffet. You have to go to the grill and ask for the meat that you want. I think I need find a reason for a business lunch out there.

One of my formerly favorite places was House of India, however the service the last time I went was so godawful, I walked out.

My current favorite is Pho Hai (Vietnamese food).

It's kinda ironic that the best service at any hotel or restaurant I've ever had was in India. We stayed at the Sepal Hotel in Bhatinda, Punjab for 6 weeks and during that time, the service was fantastic. It took a couple weeks to train the cook, but we ended up getting a pretty good compromise between Western and Indian food. During the early weeks, we would stay at the site until 1 or 2 am and if we called by 10pm or so, with an order, we would have it waiting for us at the desk -- freshly cooked and piping hot.

My favorite place to eat out would have to be Outback Steakhouse. I love the aussie cheese fries and the bloomin' onion as appetizers. My favorite meal there would have to be the Outback Special. It's a 12 oz. steak seasoned with good spices and it comes with two sides.

Maggiano's (http://www.maggianos.com/) is way better than olive garden, and they have great cake. I liked House of Blues too.

My favourite restaurant in Dulin is Yamamori on Georges Street. Japanese restaurant, not only Sushi and Miso, but everything including triyaki dishes, and the food is just heaven on earth.

My favourite restaurant in my home town Bamberg (not that anybody will have heard of it anyway) is the Pelikan in the Sandstrasse. It used to be just a regular German Wirtshaus, until they got this brilliant Vietmanese cook. Now the place is a bit of an insder's tip. ;)

In Leipzig, I could regularly be found in this small Australian restaurant called Uluru in the Zentralstrasse. If you ask the waiter about the girl drawing comics and illustrations, I bet anything he still remembers me.

I'm wrecking my head trying to remember the name of the Indian restaurant in Montreal that I loved so much (used to go there every second week). I'll let you know when I remember.

I'll have to break it down into sections.

Italian: Reale's (local owned, small, cheap, great), or Olive Garden
Persian: Al-Jaboorz (local owned)
Mexican: Manuel's (local chain)
Wings: Waterloo Icehouse. Mmmm.
Burgers: Fuddrucker's (Expensive, but worth it)
Steak: Texas Land and Cattle Steak house.

No, I really couldn't pick an ultimate favourite.

Quin Nhi's or Behn Than's, both in London, Ontario, both delicious Vietnamese food. I used to be very adventurous when eating out, but now I stick to places that I know are good, mostly Indian and Asian food. Just this week, though, my family went out to a Peruvian place for my dad's birthday. Sooooo good.

I'm not sure they're open anymore. I drive by there every couple weeks, or so, and I just don't see any activity.

Sounds like you're familiar with the Ponce neighborhoods. Ever go to the Majestic diner? You know, 'Food that pleases since 1934'.
