Radiohead Vs. Tony Blair?

Ok, Freinds of the Earth want Thom Yorke, the lead singer of Radiohead, to go to 10 Downing Street to meet with Tony Blair about climate change. Thom Yorke is uncertain as to wether he should go or not, fearing that Blair will turn it into a cheesy photo opportunity. That said, it would undoubtably be a good way for him to expose Blairs lack of action on climate change. what does everyone think?

to raise awareness. itll be a big boost to FoEs campaign, but theyre worried that blair will turn it to his advantage.

What is it with Rockstars all the sudden being important political figures?
I mean come on, the guy can sing, but how much experience in diplomatic negotiation or in climate change or in ANYTHING BESIDES ROCKING OUT does this guy have!
Hell, send ME to 10 Downing Street. I'm sure I'm better at diplomacy than the lead singer of Radiohead, we probably understand climate change equally, and I doubt Mr. Blair could turn me into a photo-op. We'll have a climate deal in a week, unless we get caught up with tea and crumpets. Mmmm.... crumpets....

well i think radiohead arent really a 'rocking out' band. theyre one of the most political bands i know.
